Seems like forever and a day ago when I saw this davey slayton started a thread over @ugbb and I was the first to reply to what was an obvious spamming/soliciting attempt.
I replied with how I had murderous intentions coupled with an impending sexual assault and some of the members weren't sure what to make of the situation as it had yet to unfold and could've gone in several directions.
DS responded with a remark about my being a vegetable oil salesman looking to be the best on the board and that I was trying to scare off the competition.
It's clear the man is out of touch with reality as can happen when a person decides to make a 3rd world country his home. His reality is based on the memories he has of the times before he gave up and decided to go where the US dollar will take him further than it would had he remained in the States. The sad part is there isn't anywhere or anything to do besides remember the past. He's a lifer. A life long tourist with no place to go. No chance of advancing and nobody to share his new sunglasses with. A senior citizen with the mentality of a very immature 22 year old who is on break from the Navy is what he reminds me of. Nothing to spend his money on.
Its not enough money to do big things with such as feed a retirement fund or build a second home....or help a son get his own business off the ground....or have that special someone to grow old with and play with the grand kids.
It's actually very sad. I've lost any momentum I had with poking fun and my usual antics just don't sound like anything I want to pursue.
I wasn't exactly sure why I felt a bit down and why I didn't strike when the iron was hot after he posted those ridiculous pics of an old man trying on a young mans clothes and forcing a smile trying to convince a board full of people who for the most part have busy lives and decisions to make and people to love and who love us back.
In response he posts a pic of a not so young prostitute with the tired eyes of a woman who has seen things and who is still doing what she told herself she would do for a summer 12 or 15 years ago. The 2 of them trying to get through another day that was a repeat of the last.
I'm not going to take flight on you here and I wouldn't if we met down South of the Border. You've given me reason to pause and to take a look around and to be grateful for what I have and for who I have to share it with. Ask DS how fast time flies and if he's where he thought he would be 10 years ago...and where he sees himself at the end of another decade. Not an easy thing to face. I, for one, am going to leave the man alone. To kick a man while he's down is a cowardly act...unless that man is the likes of a child molester. Then if the mans down its the chance to kick him harder and finish him off if the opportunity presents itself. I don't think that's what we're dealing with here. That kind lurks in the shadows and wouldn't plaster his face all over as this one has done and continues to do. I'll let him be.
