lol yes! Murder on a Sunday Morning is a good real life example, it’s a documentary about this 15 year old kid that was wrongfully charged with felony murder. They were after a skinny black male, and he was the 1st skinny black male the cops ran into and questioned him. Needless to say he shoulda had a lawyer, he was misidentified, and detectives beat a false confession out of him. Luckily his public defender was badass, he made all 3 detectives look like utter morons on the stand.

He was found not guilty but he spent like 6 months in jail waiting for trial. Can’t remember if it’s because he couldn’t afford bail or whether he was remanded. Shit if his lawyer was not so good he coulda gone to prison for life all because he talked to LE without a lawyer present.
