Primo Cycle

Pin 1 of week 7. Switched from glute to delt since I'd had a little pip lately. Delt is no Bueno. Idc if my glute is a little bruised feeling. It's better than the sting of the delt. Or I could be an adult and deal with it.

I'm starting to see some changes in my body. Despite my best efforts I'm getting a little cut. I noticed it first in my back and at the gym more than once I noticed quad separation. I alternate between being starving and couldn't eat another bite. There is no in between.

Following layne nortons program and nearing the end of week one. Worked deads and bench and upper body hypertrophy. Also noticed increased vascularity in shoulders.

No headache or fatigue. Last week was an off week from my bc pill. Related?

Are you massaging after your pins? Are you going deep enough? I can't remember if you mentioned what pins you use. That could have huge impact on pain and bruising after shots.

Glad you are starting to see now... I know I said it before but primo takes a good 8 weeks to see :) good work!

And from what I noticed, the bc does have negative effects while on cycle. It's almost as if it blocks and holds your body back. Best way I can describe that... it seems like it prevents getting the full effect and potential of the compound for your body to reach its goals... I would imagine that fatigue and headaches could very well be bc related.

Did you let alcohol dry enough? I always know when I haven't... It stings lol.

How you like Layne Norton's program so far? He actually has two programs I thought looked interesting but I'm pretty sure I liked the one you're doing better.

Yeah I did let it dry. My husband warned me about that already :)

I like the program! I was a little concerned the volume wasn't there but then when you step back and see how often you're doing the big lifts you realize. And you feel it. I dig it too. I feel like I'm doing purposeful things in the gym even though the big lifts take so much time. I also like that the program allows for hypertrophy. I'm a little lost since I'm not sure how much of what to do for "upper body hypertrophy" and I have to watch it because part of me want to go bttw and do everything and part of me wants to be reasonable and not risk burning out.

Long story short. I'm enjoying the challenge of lifting the big 3 more often :)

I didn't massage my delt. Husband has massaged my glute (enthusiastically). I'm pinning with 1.5" 25ga needle. He only put it in about half way. (Why is everything in this post sounding like a double entendre).

Thing is now that I'm back on the pill I'm feeling better. It may be just a coincidence. Lots of stuff going on at work and personal life shit that could be affecting the headache and fatigue stuff. It's settling down now tho. :)

I'm anxious to see what the primo does in the next few weeks!

Ok... that's a good size/length. Maybe he wiggled it a little ;) and that's what irritated it.

I'm glad you feel better... hopefully it's only going in that direction. Stress and not enough rest does a lot of damage.

And you have made great progress! It shows!

image.jpeg Squat and leg hypertrophy day!! Accidentally used tx squat bar 55 lb instead of 45 so my squats were 190x5 3x. Heavy yes but I did it. I am starting to see some recomp. I heart primo. I almost posted the video of the squat but my husband was spotting me. Anyway I like the look of my leg gains here.
 
image.png Week 7 second pin today. New week on layne Norton program. Still thinking about a coach. I belong to a strength gym and the guys there are pretty good about coaching me on form. I'm in wait and see mode. Considering nutritional coaching too. I'll see. I followed the week 2 day 1 program but added hip thrusts with PR at 215lb. And I did feel that. I also added glute-ham raises which all of a sudden are feeling easy. I may actually hold a 10 lb weight next time! :)

Ohhh how I love Primo! You've done great!.... typically this is when I would be adding var as a finisher between 8-12 weeks... but you kinda did this one a little different... awesome first cycle for sure!

Haha :) ;) glad to hear it and I'm super happy that you're happy with it and your progress ...primo is my base for all my cycles... and never say never.... I see that you may be similar to me and start experimenting with compounds as you will probably respond well to different stacks....
 
View attachment 44836 Since I've been so tired this week I took yesterday off. It was chest hypertrophy day which I'll just skip this week so I can stay on schedule. I like to do most of my heavy lifting over the weekend when I'm more rested. My husband, the bastard, is having a hard time keeping weight on and during intermission of the movie we watched last night (10 cloverfield lane....weird...ehhh) came back to bed with 2 men, Ben & Jerry. We had a 4-some. Lol. Still woke up this morning feeling ok. I'll chalk it up somewhere in between flexible dieting and a cheat meal. Could still see my v-line this morning so I'm not beating myself up too badly. Still ready for more progress.

Feeling like a fat kid with cake today after cheatmeal yesterday. That made me walk longer on the trail this morning which sort of wore me out at the gym. It's too hot to go at any other time of the day but it was not the best decision for gym gains. I got my required compound moves in. Today had AMRAPs in the program. Got 195x8 (after 2 sets of 195x4) DL and 135x5 (after 4 sets of 5) bench. Super light hypertrophy after that. Still feel gross and blah so here are some pics from this weekend before I hated myself. Lol.

I don't remember what the problem is pinning delts...pain? Pin those quads its simple.

Thanks! Ha! Yes. The watch. Behold. Lol. Delts just sting. Glutes I barely feel. It's not the alcohol either. I let it dry a good long time today. Husband said it may be because the muscle is smaller in delt than glute.
