Primo Cycle

Thanks! Ha! Yes. The watch. Behold. Lol. Delts just sting. Glutes I barely feel. It's not the alcohol either. I let it dry a good long time today. Husband said it may be because the muscle is smaller in delt than glute.

Try those well built quads once. Side of the quad, not the top like I did about 10'x. My bathroom looked like a crime scene. Lmao
 
Week 8 pin 1. Delt again. I figured I would give it another chance. Still sucked. Back to glute. This holiday (July 4th) has me all jacked up. Feeling like a fat kid with cake today after cheatmeal yesterday. That made me walk longer on the trail this morning which sort of wore me out at the gym. It's too hot to go at any other time of the day but it was not the best decision for gym gains. I got my required compound moves in. Today had AMRAPs in the program. Got 195x8 (after 2 sets of 195x4) DL and 135x5 (after 4 sets of 5) bench. Super light hypertrophy after that. Still feel gross and blah so here are some pics from this weekend before I hated myself. Lol.

Wendy, just be careful you don't go too close to the band... that wouldn't be good... try the teardrop or mid-upper part of your quad... works like a charm....see pic...

Continued good work Wendy! Pinning quads is a very individual thing. Some love it and some hate it. I would be in the latter group.

You aren't pinning enough to have to do anything other than glutes in my opinion. You should only need a 1" pin for glutes as little body fat as you carry.
 
image.png Pin 2 of week 8. Back to the glute! Idk why at the beginning of this cycle I didn't even feel the pin and now it stings a little. It's nbd. Just something I've noted. This week has sort of been jacked up because of the holiday. I didn't take time off the gym but I did take a couple days from work. I haven't killed it in the gym this week since I've been back at work but I got it done. I've really been focussing on the PL form and it's coming a little more naturally now. Diet is a little fucked off. Eh. Onward. Back to the familiar routine now.

I have noticed my voice is a little raspy. I'm not concerned about it though. I'm a little bitchy (er) than normal too but I'm dealing with it. My cycle will end in 2 weeks and I'm going to push through.

Next month I'll take off and have bloods done. When I run another cycle I believe it will be primo. I don't mind experimenting though.

Here is this week's plan. My weeks start on Friday.
 
Ok. Week 9 pin 1 today Been sort of absent. I'm from Baton Rouge (don't live there now) and have been pretty emotional the last several days. Anyway.....week 9 begins today. Looking forward to it. I'm at the point where I see the end of the cycle. I'm still not ready to be a mere mortal again but I'm feeling the need for a factory reset on my voice and lady bits. I'm also kind of a bitch lately.

As far as the program goes, whatever worry I had about it not having enough volume has more that been wiped away by the frequency of the big 3. I absolutely love doing them more frequently and my body feels it. I'm on week 3 and I'm eager to see what I've gained at the end of week 4. (It's a 12 week program.) both aesthetically and strength wise. Here's this week. It's bench and deads tonight.

It's very unfortunate to see what's going on around not only Baton Rouge, but all across America.
The whole world has gone crazy, I hate watching the news. It's sickening.

I can only imagine how ready you must be for a break. Your body needs it, 2 cycles back to back def begin to take a toll. You kicked major ass though and got me so excited for this upcoming primo cycle.

Have you calculated how much muscle you've gained in this cycle?
 
That looks like a tough week. Glad you are enjoying hitting the big 3 frequently. You will like the results for sure.

A lot of women do way too many "finishing" type movements in my opinion and would be much better served doing more work on the compound movements to develop some muscle mass.

Today was tough!! I could not 145x5 3x ! I got 145x3 and that's what I got for my AMRAP but I had no 145x5 in me! I hate failing. I consoled myself by justifying that the program is generic and probably geared toward men who can achieve upper body strength more easily. That's my story anyway. :)

Just caught up on here after being off a few days. Wendylifts you are doing GREAT! I wish i had as much muscle in my legs! They are toooo llllonnngg to get muscle on them just yet--gonna take time. I started on a new bottle of Primo a couple weeks ago from another company and I am not real sure about the dosing on it. It is a good, reputable company (many products tested on Anaboliclabs.com), but I just don't fell the "same". My voice isn't near as hoarse..not that i want a hoarse voice, but its a telltale sign of Primo (in me anyway) and that's pretty much it other than not feeling as "pumped"? I still have unwanted hair growing here and there though...LOL!! Just FYI I always pin in my glute and it sucks but I am not big enough to pin anywhere else. I pinned my DH in his delts the other night (he has big delts) and he was pretty sore the next day (and i did it right, believe me!) so that was no bueno. I think the box of needlesl we got this last time aren't real high quality--not sharp enough. And we have a ton of them so i hate to order me, but I honestly have no idea where to order better ones. I order piercing needles at my shop, but they are just NEEDLES and and they are big...for piercing. (18-14g).

Omg. Such a pain! Literally! :) how much longer are you on cycle? I'm planning 10 weeks and I'm on week 9.

I honestly have no idea where to order better ones.

I've always been pretty happy with GPZ Med Lab. You can get 100 needles of just about any kind for like 7 bucks. Keep the syringes you have and just change out the pin.

Delts are probably my favorite pin location... but I find that I sometimes dont relax the muscle enough and it'll cause a bit of pain. Just an idea as to why delts might not have worked out recently. Needle depth is important too I suppose but it's never made a difference for me, I use pretty short pins in delt.
