Primo Cycle

Ooo. That's a good thought. Not in about 3 weeks. Pulse all the time but not bp. I'll do that tomorrow at work.

Try checking when you're mid headache and see what it's running.

Headaches aren't a common side for me even though high blood pressure is. I use propranolol and it keeps it within range. I know a few guys that feel much better using it.

I considered Cialis to manage it and have some fun along the way but I read a bit about possible dependency on it and I reconsidered lol.

Not too sure a nonselective beta blocker is a good idea unless you plan on being on it permanently. Coming off isn't going to be fun and it's bad news for body comp - metabolism goes downtown (up to 10-15%).

Just a few things to be aware of.

BP is ok. Still have a headache. It's not as bad as last week. I do think it's the heat or something in bloom. I don't have the fatigue I did last week.

I've been on and off of that particular drug for years and never had any issues... what do you mean coming off isn't fun? Withdrawal symptoms? Not something I've ever experienced with propranolol, maybe I've never taken them long enough. I was prescribed them originally but I prefer to buy them unprescribed these days because it's cheaper and more convenient. They are pretty nice to take everyday really though, lower blood pressure and pretty sure I could speak in front of a hundred people with hands as steady as a surgeon.

Can't say that I was aware of metabolism effect either, can't be effecting me too much though because my weight seems stuck and I'd like to see another ten pounds go on the scale... :(

Good info though. :)

Beta blocker withdrawal syndrome, well known in the medical community for decades - that's why, at prescribed doses, its recommended to taper down carefully, and avoid strenuous activity ie lifting, rather than going cold turkey. For more info, see - The [beta]-Adrenergic Blockade Withdrawal Phenomenon. : Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology

You've also got it the wrong way round, if your weight is stuck then that might indicate that prop IS effecting you.
One of the reasons compounds like ephedrine, clen & a bunch of other stims are useful for fat loss is because they boost your metabolism partially through beta 2 agonism (and a bit of 1).
Propranolol does the complete opposite and blocks both of these receptors, which means your metabolism will slow down = slower fat loss, lower maintenance cals, etc.
It also has terrible nutrient partitioning effects in general (shuttles more cals to fat rather than muscle, etc).

Basically, it's not something you want to be messing around with if you care about body comp :)

Wendy pay back is a bitch. lol. What you know about these? Just thinking about the crawfish stuffed ones is making me horny.

Oh you bastard. I haven't had theirs but waitressed at Brunet's Cajun restaurant back in the day and they made them there. Exactly what I said. A coonass can take a can of spam and velveeta and come back to you with something that would make you slap your momma it's so good. Idk what they do. Some sort of voodoo magic or something.

o_O LMAO. Nah you sure are right though. They can pull anything from the swamps and make it delicious. Ever had gator? We have a gator festival and a gator restaurant not far from where I grew up and it's pretty good if cooked right.

Small world. I've ate at Burnets years ago. We used to stay in Port Allen a lot for work. I tried to go to Burnets last time I was over there and it was closed :(

Have I eaten gator.....pshhhh of course! I lived in Texas too...and Florida. We ate gator everywhere. Blackened is my favorite.

Yeah I heard none of Robert's kids wanted to take over the business. I don't blame them. Those folks were married to that business. Miss the food though.

Catching up w your log.
I hope your headaches are feeling better.
My first thought we BP too, glad you checked it and it's ok though.
I have so much reading to do, good thing I don't have anything else to do

View attachment 44836 Since I've been so tired this week I took yesterday off. It was chest hypertrophy day which I'll just skip this week so I can stay on schedule. I like to do most of my heavy lifting over the weekend when I'm more rested. My husband, the bastard, is having a hard time keeping weight on and during intermission of the movie we watched last night (10 cloverfield lane....weird...ehhh) came back to bed with 2 men, Ben & Jerry. We had a 4-some. Lol. Still woke up this morning feeling ok. I'll chalk it up somewhere in between flexible dieting and a cheat meal. Could still see my v-line this morning so I'm not beating myself up too badly. Still ready for more progress.

you look so hot! That V line is super sexy.

Pin 1 of week 7. Switched from glute to delt since I'd had a little pip lately. Delt is no Bueno. Idc if my glute is a little bruised feeling. It's better than the sting of the delt. Or I could be an adult and deal with it.

I'm starting to see some changes in my body. Despite my best efforts I'm getting a little cut. I noticed it first in my back and at the gym more than once I noticed quad separation. I alternate between being starving and couldn't eat another bite. There is no in between.

Following layne nortons program and nearing the end of week one. Worked deads and bench and upper body hypertrophy. Also noticed increased vascularity in shoulders.

No headache or fatigue. Last week was an off week from my bc pill. Related?

Pinning your delt stung? I love pinning mine. It basically feels the same as pinning my ass but its easier cause I cant reach my ass. lol. Its probably just because you pinned a virgin muscle to be honest.

Did you let alcohol dry enough? I always know when I haven't... It stings lol.

How you like Layne Norton's program so far? He actually has two programs I thought looked interesting but I'm pretty sure I liked the one you're doing better.
