Pulsing Pain in Head

Has anybody ever strained while lifting and got an acute pulsing pain in head? It goes away when I’m done working out but comes back as soon as I strain to lift. Been going for about a week and a half now.

Today it happened so bad on my first set that it almost brought me to my knees. I lifted lighter than normal afterwards to keep from straining as much.

I read up a little on occipital neuralgia which has to do with nerve damage in the head, but it almost feels like blood vessel because of the pulsation.

Strange, painful, and annoying. Any experience with this or idea of what it may be and how to keep it at bay in the future?

It’s been normal. Around 120/60 last time I checked. Has stayed around 115/65 on and off cycle.

Post a pic. High BP or High Cholesterol (atherosclerosis) obstructing blood flow will be my guess.
Orals can cause atherosclerosis if diet is not Dialed. You can reverse it with a absolutely perfect diet

So it doesn’t make sense to me to post pictures, BUT...

It’s elevated.

Are you vegetarian or do you take blood pressure medication? Those are perfect readings.

Neither. And it’s elevated at 124 systolic, although still “healthy”.

I do a lot of cardio and eat “healthy” consistently. I’ve stayed around 40%P/35%C/25%F the past 6 months, if that even means anything in this situation.

I’m currently doing an ECAY stack and a keto diet for a cut, which started 2 days ago. But the pain has been there for 1.5 weeks.

I get transitory BP headaches but that happens pretty much entirely between sets, not during.

Not sure here man...

I would get medical advice from a crackhead before taking any from ecpert.

How much water are you drinking?

Are you taking any supplements along with the keto diet?

I think your hydration level may be causing this. Keto can exacerbate it if I'm not mistaken.

Ya I figured I’d satisfy his narcissism for the day.

I’ve never had blood pressure issues, although I sometimes feel higher blood pressure symptoms. Could just be anxiety.

I’ll just have to take it easy the next couple weeks and life light and make sure it continually subsides. I’m no expert in anatomy, but I’d say it’s in a pretty vital part of the body.

I’ve never had blood pressure issues,

I don't have chronic BP issues either, resting BP is dead-ass normal, but the repeated Valsalva maneuvers intra-workout cause transitory spikes/troughs that get me.

I normally drink 1-1.5 gallons a day. I drink water all day and a cup of black coffee every day.

Supplements for keto, I’m just using Mio with electrolytes at this point. I eat a decent amount of leafy veggies every meal. I drink chicken broth in the AM. I put lite salt (50/50 sodium:potassium) on everyrhing. I’ve been planning on getting Magnesium Sulfate.

I’ve also been on an ECAY stack the last few days since I started keto. I know neither the stack or diet are the cause, BUT it could definitely be exacerbating the issue as you said.

I’m not sure if it’s a side effect of Nolva, Clomid, or Accutane.

That’s interesting. I almost think it was lack of adequate breathing that caused too much strain. I think the only way to let it heal properly is to keep from over-straining and lifting light the next couple weeks.
