PT doesn't really work on a sliding scale, more like a switch. Too little and you get no benefit (but often the sides). Honestly I just recommend starting at 2.5mg for males (1.75 is what's used for women with the prescription pen, who have a lower body mass) eat lightly the day of to minimize potential nausea (which passes quickly), and enjoy yourself. After a handful of uses, the nausea doesn't seem to happen any more.

Lower doses are why a lot of people try it and think "meh".

Have you actually used it?

1mg gave me some pretty intense nausea. 500mcg is pretty mild and yields the desired effect. For me, the effect is not so acute, so if I'm planning for activities, I'll take it several hours before at least. Typically, I'll get spontaneous erections for the next 24 hours. The erection quality is "all of it and then some".
