QSC Tren Ace Long Term Storage

@narta , by "flapper," you are referring to the one's @Ghoul is referring to as "wings," correct?

Ahh ok, learn something new every day.

Lyophilization stoppers (left) vs Serum stoppers (right).

I'm surprised serum stoppers can't hold vacuum, but clearly there's a reason for two types.

Still, hate those "flaps", and have seen them on oil vials. Guess it was just what was cheap or available.

Thanks @narta

Maybe for low BB brews silicone is prefered over rubber. Or maybe the incompatibility of butyl rubber with MCT(and most oils) in any case outweigh the incompatibility of silicone with BB.

Would be interesting to know how incompatible silicone is with BB.

Only idiots would buy silicone alone on stopper, what's used is always silicone coated with PTFE so there is no incompatibility there as the PTFE is well compatible with BB.

You can find cheaper stopper tho in butyl coated with PTFE and there you have the problem solved :)
