The misuse of this Bible verse...aggravates me for several reasons.

1.) If you read directly after this verse, it says that the same measure with what you judge someone else with shall be applied to you.

Basically, don't be a hypocrite. If I tell you that you shouldn't be doing something, I better be certain that I am not doing it myself. People throw that verse around like it makes them untouchable.

2.) People like to pick and choose Bible verses and apply them to their lives or tell them to other people when it suits them. You can't hide behind a the Bible and it's words if you don't believe it to be true, and don't believe in God.

Speaking of Bible mishaps.

Another one that irks me is "I am my brother's keeper"

Cain and Abel were brothers, one a farmer and one a shepherd(keeper.) Cain killed Abel and then when Cain spoke to God, God asked Cain where Abel was. To which he responded sarcastically, "Am I my Brother's Keeper?" More of a "I am not his Shepherd.." and not the "I am my brother's keeper(protector.)"

Pretty ironic how people use that one.

Bible stuff isn't my forte... Did you guys know that the first mention of a sandwich was first described in the Talmud? <- May not be accurate.

I know I’m a sinner, we all are. I do my best to live right, and not judge others. And I ask for the same in return, that’s all.
