Readalots Enhanced Testing

And that's the thing...I don't mind if he feels differently. I'm not trying to jump down his throat (internet communication sucks sometimes...errrr, all the time).

I would humbly invite him back to clarify. It's either:
- i. his ONLY acceptable outcome is "do exactly what I propose and there is nothing to discuss."

- ii. "I didn't see Millard's recent post. Now I understand and agree."

- iii. "I saw his post and disagree with you ass clowns because....." That's where I'm left hanging.

I understand they don't owe an answer. I'm not trying to badger the witness. He actually had a sorta/kinda general question I had in my brain when Narta previously suggested kicking all sponsored sources off the board (a strange suggestion given the outcome that would leave for everyone who buys here)...but I understood the "trap" that Narta was obviously alluding to (..the elephant in the room implication being there was some bowing to sources).

I don't have a problem with the question. I have a problem with a passive aggressive agenda and instant "shut down" once they are pressed on the issue.

I will say Kudos to them for stepping away and not continuing to escalate...that part is fair if that's the choice. However, if there is more to discuss, let's say it out loud...in a "moving the message forward" kinda way...and I guess maybe he's looking for an answer directly from Millard so this novella is not what they requested. To quote Dirt (without permission) - Peace.
He has the ability to IMMEDIATELY set an expectation that sets a standard which is far above ANYTHING which currently exists. That is my point. Anyone can be a vendor here without any requirements, but why not establish a higher level of expectation for vendors who pay for "sticky thread" exposure. If those vendors choose not to follow suit, they can still be part of the regular, non-paying, group of vendors.

I do not see why it is so difficult to comprehend my position, weather you agree with it or not.

As I said, you won!

I confess I spend very little time on other boards.

I also wasn't around pre-sponsor Meso era.

I also have no idea how lucrative the sponsorship tag is.

This requirement does not do anything to level the field (I mean QSC doesn't have a sponsorship).

I comprehend your position. I just don't see the correlation of mandating this change for paid sponsors. There are too many layers to unpack on why this is against the spirit of what is trying to be accomplished...but I won't begrudge you brainstorming ideas to improve the system. This just isn't one that is likely to get much traction.

Relevant discussion on isolating metal particulates from raws for testing.

Axle may end up doing some additional testing for the community thanks to the efforts of the members who held him accountable today.

It’s known by most that there is some metal pieces here and there in raws. Especially to those who brew. If a brewer is reading this and spots some metal, which there should be some on the magnetic stir bar, notify the community or if you wish to stay anonymous reach out to me, readalot or someone privately and myself or maybe a few of us will arrange and finance for it to be tested. Let’s put this to rest.

Oils will probably always test without metal as the filter gets them out but that’s not the case with orals. Let’s test some of these metals being found since we are consuming a bit in orals.

I mean as a kid I’m sure I swallowed a few bbs and pellets as I would put ammo in my mouth. lol Hell, pretty sure I still do so I’m sure the specks of metal here and there in raws isn’t too concerning but I find it interesting and why not test some since we now have the means?

Caution for those using raws in oral suspensions, capsules, etc.
