Recovery log: Tyler is going natural.

Through this journey I've realized T is overrated. It's not the magic solution for libido and while it helps somewhat with energy stuff like diet exercise sleep vitamins and just overall lifestyle is equally important.

I will be taking up yoga meditation and other lifestyle changes when I'm natural.

Being some jacked dude in the gym matters ZERO to me.

I couldn't care less.

TRT not a magic solution, but the difference between low and normal T can be rather striking.

Let's see how you feel after 6 months completely off TRT. Hopefully you have a faster recovery than me!

I have done TRT for 6 years now and I stopped it for 7 months at one point early on. While I agree that low T isn't optimal the only stark differences I noticed with low T is bit more stress on my body after workouts but I felt less drained after workouts like I do on TRT.

OTOH I felt more consistent off T like I just felt healthier overall. Almost like a connectedness to my body which I can't fully explain.

I'm really looking forward to being natural again even tho I know the recovery will not be easy.

I do agree that T is overrated for sexual enhancement. My T is just under the bottom of the normal range, and my erections might be better right now. Libido is kinda dead, but it wasn't that great on TRT. Libido, in my case, seems to have more to do with getting proper exercise/sleep/diet/low stress.

I think "libido" i.e. the mental aspect of libido has more to do with neurotransmitters and stuff that you mentioned excercise / sleep / diet / low stress etc.

Libido is complicated. I think if a guy falls below a certain T level it might causes PHYSICAL issues like the equipment not working but cialis or viagara solves that.

You have old dudes who are just as "horny" as young dudes who probably have low normal T. I really think the "horniness" factor is mental more than T related. While the physical equipment functionality might be T related.

I have to take cialis on TRT anyways so what's the point? lol.

I may as well take it natural since I have to take it anyways.

Also bottom line,
Im really looking forward to being natural again and not thinking about this shit for at least 10 years.

I'm in my 30s now if in my 40s I am like ok I've had some kids and there are new treatments out like androxal then I can consider some sort of supplementation again.

How old are you Tyler? I'm 38, and in a similar boat - also doing a log in the fitness log section. Maybe I should have put it here.

I've cycled on and off for 5 years, and it's just not worth the hassle. And I no longer care at all about being jacked either. Children, same.

Wishing the best for you.

What was/is your story chemman?

Did you end up recovering? How long have you been off for, if you are indeed off?

My story is very long. I'm off TRT but feeling all of the symptoms of low T. I see my doctor tomorrow. Might go back on, as I am having difficulty functioning off TRT.

Thanks brother. I will be 35 this year.

Well that's discouraging to hear.

How long have you been off now?

What do you mean by "functioning"?

For me fertility is a big part of coming off (and i hate Hcg so coming off and staying natural is a better option for me personally)

I've been off for about 10 months. I just feel kinda weak and definitely depressed. That combined with constant allergies and sinusitis is just making me miserable.

Without knowing your history, I'd say 10 months maybe isn't enough time?

Have you tried a low dose of clomid? A number of people have recovered after 6 months of 25mg or even 12.5mg per day.

How is your thyroid? I think it's probably bad to take T3 and what not, but maybe iodine, forskolin, and time.

Have you considered taking antidepressants? I'm wondering if maybe that is preferable to hopping back on hormones.

I know in my case, if a year out, I still feel off, I definitely am going to try antidepressants versus going back on. The fatigue, historically, has been a problem. I have only been off for 9-10 months since I started, and I felt better towards the end (which made me stupidly start up again).

I think AAS has more profound psychological effects than most people realize. Regardless, consider antidepressants before going back on. TRT is nowhere near as reliable as antidepressants for relieving depression.

I have tried a low dose of Clomid, and I ended up with pretty severe parasthesia.

Even antidepressants are not that reliable for relieving depression. Exercise is more effective, but that can be a problem with low T due to poor recovery and fatigue. I've tried an assortment of antidepressants (before TRT and on TRT) and never got the results I was hoping for. And getting off Cymbalta was very difficult but not as bad as getting off TRT.

Damn. Even when the gels were absorbing properly?

No when the gels were absorbing properly I had some energy and libido benefits.

But I had mood issues.

I solved the mood issues (LOTS of trial and error of meds) and then the stupid gel stopped absorbing.

I've had a few stretches where both mood and hormones were dialed in and I felt good.

I'm trying a few last ditch things before I come off.

But if I come off I kno I won't feel much worse than I do now.

I did the pharmaceutical anti depressant merry go round tried a lot of different meds.

PM me for a few alternatives.
