Rekindling My Lust for Life: A Fairy's HRT Log

at the moment we are trying to increase her sleep, dial back training and lower stress/reduce cortisol and adjust diet.

I feel you. I would probably wait on the injections if my joint pain hadn’t started getting progressively worse. I can manage the dryness with low dose E cream. I’ve been kicking the brain fog’s ass with ginkgo. But my collagen and krill oil won’t even touch the joint pain anymore.

I think my wife never really bounced back after the 3rd kid a few years back. I had to nag her constantly to go get checked and she just finally did the other week. It was like pulling teeth. Should have done it ages ago and just lied told her we were going for ice cream. LOL

Ever tried to reuse a deflated balloon? 3 times is hard.

As far as I’m aware, keeping the estradiol levels stable is the standard. Quite honestly it sounds exhausting to figure out dosing that accounts for the fluctuations, and a lot more frequent blood testing would be required to make sure you’re getting that right. The amount of stress involved in all of that is a hard pass for me, to be honest. My E Cyp injections will be twice a week, 1mg each time. I’m not interested in complicating that.
I am helping my wife with hrt. She is perimenopause so this wouldn’t apply everywhere. My thought is to adjust the e2 dose so that the swings are not so bad. There is still some natural production, which obviously lowers with time, so the idea is to add a good baseline that will keep the lows from being too low but also keep the swings high from being too high. Once she is in menopause, we will up the dose and it just becomes steady. I would suggest testing E1 at least a few times a year.

She switched to daily shots because the large e2 surge was causing cramping during her period. Daily shots fixed this. Unfortunately the concentration you need for daily dosing is not available. You could look into diluting the oils and sending them off for testing. This would be worth your time. Testing your oils in general is super important.

What’s her daily e cyp dose? Trying to inject less than 1mg sounds like a pain the ass, especially with the 100mg/ml we have.

you mean 10mg per ml? i see india pharma has 1mg ampules
Nope, 100mg/ml. I checked with a few Indian pharma sources and they didn’t have any injectable E (now I suppose I should’ve looked harder) so that was the best I could do without going through the Chinese

was she taking 1 shot weekly?
She was doing 2 of test C.

That is why I recommended dilution and testing your oils. I home brew so I made hers. The test C ended up being 9 mg/mL and the estrogen valerate was 1.18 mg/mL. I was shooting for 10 mg/mL and 1 mg/mL. You can see I had an 18% error with the estrogen. I mixed enough that we won’t have to do any more test for a while though.

You don’t need to be able to home brew to do this but understanding the process helps.

Off the top of my head it is around 8 mg/wk test C and .5 mg/wk estrogen valerate.

First sub-Q injection was this morning. I had the bf pin muh belly and got crazy lightheaded/nauseous for about 60-90 seconds. It was terrifying for that short moment in time, and I’m glad he was there to stroke my hair and make me feel at ease. After that I was fine. Injection spot is fine. Tiny little insulin syringe just felt like a pinch. Not sure why I’m such a pussy with that stuff but I can sit for tattoos like a damn statue. The techs at Labcorp make fun of me for that when I’m getting blood drawn.

Next pin, I think I’m gonna have him do the glute. I’d like to have him do this for me a few times before I attempt it myself.

I also applied my low dose E cream to my vulva this morning, and wiped what was left over on my finger onto my elbow and my knee, as they have been killing me lately. I was busy at work today and got 18K steps in, had to carry a lot of stuff, and my joints didn’t feel as awful as they have been. Maybe I’m tripping but I feel like the E helped in some way.

That’s all I got for now.

there is a precedent for relief of joint issues with cyclic variations in estradiol. From the reading it seemed the hypothesis was there but the clinical testing was lacking.

1 vial a week, 52 weeks in a year.. Around 250usd with shipping for a year supply.

The progesterone tablets. 4-5 dollars for 10.. is you needed 24 pills/month 290pills =29 blisters around 150usd
year supply roughly 400usd.

I removed the details of which source this is, but a few clicks around and you can find it.

edit* these are 10mg.. maybe..their website has no picture to confirm. would need to ask them.

Strange, the pictures look like 10 amps, 1ml each, and each ml is 10mg.
Whereas the title puts 10ml of 1mg.

1amp = 1ml?

So is it 10mg/ml or 1mg/ml?

yeah you would need to contact them and confirm that, perhaps they have a lower dosage variety. That 10mg photo i got from elsewhere. Their website does not have a photo to go along with the product.

I have the E cyp from SSA that's $15 but yea it's Chinese and def not pharma.
10mg/ml, 10ml vial.

For Test C, there are vendors doing 50mg/ml, US Dom, also worth considering..

$25/vial, 10ml
He's OOS now but i think he's restocking soon.

Single vial..i mean..$15..
A kit is $140.
yeah 1 vial is a 100 week supply, not much use for a kit i suppose. The vial is a lot easier than the ampules..

But, with pharma you know exactly what you are getting per dose.

Perhaps ordering a sterile vial to load the ampules into a couple at a time would be ideal.
