Rice as your main carb source?

Arsenic is in most all US rice. Even organic. Leftover from the commercial fertilizer and pesticides. Rice sequesters arsenic, unlike most other plants.

Less in California rice. Texas rice is terrible

I ate 8 cups a day last offseason...its far easier to get cals in with rice than potatos or pasta and should digest way faster. Primary reason it’s in the Vertical Diet.

It was Stan Efferding’s vertical diet KOMPLETTES seminar that discussed mixing your carb sources for optimal utilization. It’s a 2 hr watch but I thought it was worth the time, some good info.

Either way, Basmati rice still has some of the lowest inorganic arsenic levels. They are very low.

Uncle bens white rice. All day. I eat 4-5 cups a day of that shit.

Get the screw on plastic containers. Make a bunch of rice and then put it in the containers and FREEZE THEM.

Then when I want to eat, I take the top off the container and microwave on high for 3 minutes. Shit comes right back, soo good.

I love rice, wife only buys minute rice though so I don’t eat that, I currently using quinoa as my carb source. Got to get me a rice cooker and go back to real rice

Treat yourself and get a good rice cooker. I have a 10 cup Zojirushi and it is a game changer. I’ll even make Japanese style pancakes in it every now and then.
