What we have witnessed so far is only the beginning. Putin is a war criminal and that is indisputable. He does not strike me as the kind of person who will not take everything around him down with him. Kind of like trump. I had to through that in for all my fascist, racist friends.
Putin will continue to threaten the west with annihilation. He will continue to destroy a nation of 44 million innocent souls. The only question is what deterrent he should face.
At this point call his bluff. Give Ukraine everything they need to kill as many Russians as they can. If they use nuclear or biological weapons, retaliate with the same.
I apologize for calling Russian sympathizers cocksuckers. I'm older and that is no longer pc. I didn't intend to insult the lgbt community, only the American fascist movement. You know who you are.

What's the alternative? Should the Ukrainians roll over? Maybe the 82nd airborne should deploy to eastern Ukraine. So far the weapons that the west have provided has killed or maimed 20-25% of the invaders.

It's not so complex. Russia for the 3rd time since 2008 has invaded a neighbor.
I guess if you believe nato was going to invade Russia I could understand, but that is absolute bullshit.

Well Paul, I think the alternative is for the Ukraine to do what's best for the Ukrainian people.
They should get to decide where they trade their wheat instead of Cargill or Pillsbury.
And maybe the Ukrainian people should profit off the huge gas reserves instead of Exxon or British petroleum.
I can think of hundreds of ways Joe Biden could help the ukranian people that didn't lead them to suffering and war. And only one that did.
So why not help them instead of let Joe Biden and the democrat party help themselves?
Just a thought.
What difference does it make to the ukranian people where these products are sold and dispersed? What do they care whether Russia or Biden helps them develop these industries?

Would you be subservient to russia? I agree it would be easier to throw their hands up and quit. But the Ukrainians are fighting to protect their families and homes.

Well Paul, I don't know what you mean by "subservient to Russia" because all Russia has called for from the beginning is Ukrainian neutrality.
That doesn't seem to be unreasonable to me.
The US has overthrown the elected governments of Ukraine twice in ten years. Three times since 2000 and installed people they wanted in power who were hostile towards Russia. The Ukrain has been in what's basically a civil war in Donbas since 2014 when the US overthrew the Ukrainian government for the third time and installed the current ukranian government. Who immediately outlawed the Russian language and attacked the ethnic Russian people in the Donbas region.
Obviously our current leadership doesn't care what the ukranian people want.
Russia doesn't want a government in Ukraine that's hostile towards Russia and it doesn't want NATO involved.
I don't see how any of those things are unreasonable. And I don't see how overthrowing the ukranian government was in the best interest of ukranian people in the first place.

You want the ukranian people to get what's best for them, and so do I. But fighting a proxy war on behalf of the US government with Russia isn't that.

I want our own president to stop howling vitriolic sentiments towards people he doesn't like and egging on this terrible situation and call for a path to peace.
Of course that's not going to happen because the lying corrupt bastard Joe Biden would have to admit his own fault in this situation and he won't do that.
But that's what I want. This whole situation could have easily been prevented by Joe Biden.
I'm an American. Putin is not my president. Joe Biden is. I want my president to stop egging on this senseless war and start calling for peace. I want Joe Biden to admit it was wrong for him and the Obama administration to install neo Nazi groups in power in Ukraine and start a civil war.

And while our lying corrupt piece of shit president Joe Biden is egging on this war he helped start, while gleefully cheering as ukranian and Russian people kill each other, no fields are getting planted.
That undoubtedly means food shortages of historic proportions are on the way. Hundreds of thousands of people could be starving very soon. Our food prices here will skyrocket.

But it didn't have to happen.

Maybe their neighbors could be neutral if they stopped invading them. Sweden and Finland are now talking about NATO membership, something that was unthinkable two months ago. This invasion has backfired on Putin if that was his goal.
It does not make much sense to keep invading your neighbors to keep them from joining an alliance that would keep Russia from invading.

Is that what you call protests in the capital after the president turned his back on the will of the people in a national referendum, over a hundred of the protesters dead after a brutal crackdown, which did not work, the president fleeing the country, the Ukrainian parliament holding an overwhelming vote to remove him from office officially, and a national election the same year to install a new president?
