When on the 5x5 program and taking mad protein to bulk up, I want to also avoid putting on too much fat. How can i do this? Will doing cardio to burn fat exhaust my muscles and fuck up my gains?

dude i would say if your at a pretty good BF% now not to worry about gaining fat. I hate it myself but bulking up bring some fat, it really depends on your goals. Take me, im trying to bulk so i dont really care about losing fat because once i start running the fat drop so damn fast. I also ways run to keep the bf down anyway. I cant see 30 mins 3days/w really causing any problems with gains, it just keeps my bf from going up.

You can add a little bit of cardio just for general conditioning/health purposes, but pick one goal at a time. Either work on adding muscle or work on dropping fat. Dont do both.

you should look in2 a technique made famous by bill phillips at muscle media called the abc ..anabolic diet of nutrition ,been a while since ive read it but ..it has a specific program for building mucle and getting shredded at the same time..u follow somethun like 3 weeks of over eating and heavy weights low reps fewer sets ..then diet for 3 weeks higher reps more sets ,hard cardio..i remember reading about it in there magazines and how he and many other people gained large amounts of muscle while getting extremly ripped ...i really cant go into the exact details he wrote cause its been a good 3 years since i have read that ..u can try doing some searches for it in yahoo search box i supose ..i remember there was a huge article in bill phillips sports suplement review which was a free thick book of answers from how 2 workout ..2 which suplements were a waste of ur time and money too which really worked..i remember reading an article bout a suplement called i think it was called dong chong it was suposed 2 be an energy pill but in realness it was
catapealer fungus that was marketed by a cheap company lookn for a quick buck ..the funny thing was is how i remember seeing this at the local dollar store and some guys bought 4 bottles of this stuff lmao !!!

That program was ripped to shreds about a month after it was published in the magazine as total bullshit and that it wont work. Anecdotal evidence also says it wont work.
