Shrugs are a waste of time!!

You know a real pointless exercise, calf raises or any calf only workout. Obviously since I never do any calf raises and my calfs are big it means that the exercise is worthless.

I dont get why everyone's against hip bridges. No one has seen that every strongman does them? Hell, Zydrunas does them with 700 lbs. Guess those guys are all feminine bitches huh?
They seriously strengthen the posterior chain, which makes for a lot more strength in your squats and deads.
I'm just a little guy but I bang out sets of 20 with over 300lbs.
I don't think my squats/deads would be at the level they are without them. Never mind the added mass in the glutes/hams/lower back....

What other exercise will help you pound a pussy to oblivion..

I was talking about 150lb guys with man buns doing them not powerlifters. All of a sudden everybody's doing them. Pounding pussy is mental, flip the switch.

I’m talking about straight up busting that cervix up, that exercise should help strength and flexibility. But I see what mean about guys doing thrusts all of the sudden tho

Biggest tip I could give anyone to get huge traps is to just do plate shrugs with a 45 in each hand. Squeeze and pause at the top, you can't pause with a bar loaded to the gills with plates.

The trick is to hold whatever you're pulling in as close of a straight line from the traps as possible. If I drew a line straight down your body from your traps you'd see that the grip of a 45lb plate close to the legs falls closest in line with the traps. Dumbbells make the hands stick out more, a barbell puts a different grip on it, the most natural way to do them is to hold a 45 lb plate at sort of a 45 degree angle on top against each quad. Shrug up till the traps come to ear level , pause for 1-2 seconds and then lower as far as the traps will stretch down. You'll know you're doing them right when they get hard around rep #15.
I love when people look at me funny for doing this then they proceed to do half ass bro shrugs in the squat rack lol. Done properly you can work the shit out of your traps with 45lbs

One of the best trap exercises is farmers walks. Why is that? Because of the time under tension you have to endure with them.

Same thing with shrugs. Dumbbell shrugs are definitely superior, but must people don't do them right when I see it done at any gym I go to.

Traps are probably my best feature. I did shrugs twice a week and I always held the top for at least a two count and let them down slowly. I don't really work them directly anymore because of the results I got from this.

TLDR. Shrugs aren't actually waste of time, shrugs done incorrectly are.

I’ve been doing these since I read this, and my traps are exploding. Seemed too easy to have as quick of an effect as it’s had.

I like seeing the idiots doing rotating shrugs. I know it sounds like a total dick thing to say, but I look forward to the day when that rotator cuff tears.

Power shrugs have always been a favorite of mine once i learned how to do them properly. If u see most jerkoffs in the gym doing shrugs its no wonder why someone would think they aren't worth a shit. Power shrugs for 2 sets x 20 reps with as much weight as you can handle with a good pause at the top. I can get a pump rivaling that of tricep workout. 20190409_202336.jpg
