Simple Carbs Timing Pre/Intra/Post Workout

Hi guys,

how do you guys structure the use of your simple carbs (maltodextrin etc..) pre, during and post your workout.
i would appreciate an explanation.

Especially im trying to get an understand for the reason of post workout simple carbs.

I eat rice as a source of carbohydrates 1.5 hours before training. I don't eat any carbohydrates during training because I find it unnecessary. And it also causes blood sugar fluctuations if I'm constantly drinking something in sips.
After training, I have 130g of jelly babies with my usual protein shake
 
Solid meal 1h to 1.5h before training. Start sipping on my intra workout 15' before I hit the gym and continue till 15' after training is done. Solid meal 1h-2h after training
