Since COVID alot of things smell like my poop

I've lost my smell and taste for a few days after coming down with Covid on xmas eve, but it came back a few days later after I got over it and was a bit messed up at first then it got sorted out. For some people this might last for a good while or even be permanent.

Half a year has not yet returned to me, my wife returned partially after 3 months.

It's official. I smelled my wife's poop and my son's poop, and they all smell the same.
I told my wife to let me know when she was going to fart, so I could be ready for the smell test, for science. I smelled my wife's fart, and it smells the same.
Too many things smell like this. I wonder if it's something to do with foods that release the gasses that make up fart.
However, that doesn't explain some foods tasting the way it smells. I can taste the original food. Let's say a Hot Cheeto. It's just the initial taste and smell of a hot cheeto, also includes the chemical type smell. After about 2 hot cheetos, the taste goes away and all I taste is a normal hot cheeto.

I am sitting here and thinking. I don’t even want to imagine this :LOL: I wanted to eat, my appetite was gone.

It does suck that when I open up my prepped jasmine rice container, it smells like my poop.

I also had a bad sinus infection on the tail end of the main COVID symptoms. Nose bled just about everyday at least once, so had to be careful blowing my nose. It was usually after waking up, and when I was bent over brushing my teeth in the sink. My nose would start to bleed. That went on for about 2 weeks.

Even now, I can tell my sinus isn't 100% because my voice does not sound the same. It has a nasal quality to it, like my nose is slightly plugged. I know of another person with the voice issue.
