But what I dont understand is if you(as the end customer) send them a completely anonamous sample for testing , and they arrive at a result that reflects what you are expecting to see , how would they come up with said result without the proper procedures in place?

Excellent point BUT,
apparently that's NOT what many are asking be included with each submission, as all three I contacted required a list of the expected sample contents and concentration.
Also understand a while a Mass Spec differentiates almost all AAS with relative ease the chromatogtaphic methodologies required to determine a samples concentration are much more difficult, tedious, technologically challenging AND therefore expensive.
And if some believe they are receiving a relibale LC/MS result at only 50 bucks per sample (as some have advertised) they are sadly mistaken IME
