Im new to bitcoin but ive recently used a bitcoin atm a few times and yes they are instant compared to sending from a wallet which can take an jour or two or all the way up to a day or two. But the atm route is insanely expensive even compared to western union. There was a 4$ flat rate fee which aint that bad but the mark up on bitcoin itself is crazy. Bitcoin was about 3900 at the time i bought it but the atm was charging 5800 i believe. Im not exactly sure on that number but i put in 110 and ended up with 72 and im certain of that. But when i sent it from my wallet it only costed me 4cents and took about 3hours to complete the transaction. I do like how the atm is convenient and anonymous but if i start using bitcoin a lot buying bitcoin thru an atm is not going to be worth the cost of it when i can buy em thru a credit card or a bank account without the mark up.Bitcoin, very easy to do bitcoin using a bitcoin atm, just ask him to send you the barcode so you can print it out. Show up to the atm, deposit cash and instead of setting up a bitcoin wallet and scanning your own barcode. Deposit and scan his. It does away with excess fees and he recieves the money almost instant. Western union cost too much. Once you go bitcoin atm route. You won’t ever want to use another way
