Other than the side effect tolerance, are there any "general" considerations for dosage variation based on body weight or gender?
I did 5 wks. Started at 200mg a day for 4 days and titrated up. I ran 1000mg for the last week with no problems other than night sweats. Rode my bike 10-15mi a day kept Powerade Zero in business. I did drink 3-4 beers over the course of a month but stuck to my diet pretty well. Lost around 40lbs too. Not everyone is the same. It's not for everyone. The only thing I can tell you is start out low and assess your tolerance. I went to work and my life was completely normal including my job. Making a blanket statement that something is stupid is wrong. For DNP? From my experience and research body weight does not matter too much, except that its very dangerous for people who are obese. By obese I mean the BMI type definition, about 30 pounds or more over recommended body mass. So if you're over that because of body fat as opposed to muscle, it could be dangerous. Also, in women there is a higher risk of developing cataracts. Start low at 200mg per day for at least several days to access tolerance. Above 500 to 600mg per day gets dicey. Carefully measure your body temp daily. Drink lots of water, DNP reduces thirst but you still need to hydrate. Lay off alcohol and excessive carbs. SOme people report taking a full gram (1,000mg) per day. That's just shit stupid.

Personal experience is dnp does blunt, pretty sure I read it somewhere but can't remember where.Where did you read this?
What are you basing this on?
BMI measurement's biggest limitation is that it doesn't take into account muscle vs fat... so how would you know if your BMI is high due to muscle or fat?

Disregard this, 30lbs over is fine. Be smart with dosing. Why shouldn’t someone that is 30 lbs over BMI not take DNP? What about if they are around 20% BF?

Provide these studies. Typically higher weight individuals require higher dosing. If you are on the dnp discord, the dosage is based on weight, mg/kg.Because there have been reported cases where people who are particularly heavy have a greater reaction. There is one case report posted here about an obese man who passed in an ER, after not telling ER staff about his DNP use, and I have seen other cases reported. Disregard at your own risk.

@Eman there was at least one report posted on this board about an obese man having what appeared to be an outsized reaction. I also recall reading a similar story about an obese woman in the UK, although that was elsewhere. Yes its not a lot to base such a conclusion on, but there is a lack of study on DNP in general so caution is indicated.
True, and I did indicate in my post that the concern is when people are classified as "obese" from BMI measurements due to fat and not muscle. I think the issue is a lot of fat. People know if their high BMI number is because they are a super athlete vs being very fat.
