Glad your gonna implement numbered batches. This is a must really!
Even for now, a fine tip permanent marker with 1-2-3-4 ect, would work.
(Unless you don’t know if your current stock is mixed with different batches of raws).
If so then don’t do that lol....

So is your current stock made with different raw batches but still grouped together like it’s the same?

Is there possibilities that your current stock could have inconsistencies in label claims from brewing different batches from different raws and you grouping them into one?

I had an idea about batch numbers. Let me throw it out there and let you guys pick it apart:

We send out confirmation of ship emails.
In this email we can copy/paste all compound batch numbers.

Test e batch #: 11909
Test c batch #: 11989
ETC

That way if there is ever a dispute there will be documentation that both parties can present. We cannot claim that it was a different number, and customers can't lose a label for example.

Wouldn’t this mean each party holding onto emails for a long period of time? I know people sit on vials of gear for over 6 mo to a year before pinning sometimes.

How do you recycle the powder that is wasted from the boot on your TDP 5 do you scoop it back up and put it in the hopper or dispose of it?

Wouldn’t this mean each party holding onto emails for a long period of time? I know people sit on vials of gear for over 6 mo to a year before pinning sometimes.

That's a good point. I purge emails daily. I don't hold onto them for longer than a week to allow packs to land, and deal with any issues that may have occurred in delivery. However we will keep a log of the dates that the batch numbers went out to help us keep tabs on them. It's the beginning of an idea, and like any new ideas there are going to be bugs to work out. I think we have it down from our end though. I'm sure there are going to be guys that take advantage of it, but that's par for the course in this game.

We have it down to very little waste. We have a pan that we rigged below and tilt it to the front. That lowers that waste. But anything that touches the table or goes through the sifter into the catch bin, no we don't reuse that. We count that in with the % waste when figuring out the months orders, and units made.

We calibrate the die size in there and run a few test tabs of just binder first. Weigh the tab, and do the math of the total tab minus the active.
We have run enough batches through the press that we have the formulas down pat. We have testing done on pressed pills that show that the active is very close to the claimed mg/tab
