Discovery channel is having an animal face off series starting sunday @ 9pm e. Here is a link for times and shows. Kind of disappointing no gorilla, and polar bear vs walrus, I don't see how the walrus would stand a chance, granted they can weigh in at nearly two tons, but how the hell could one defeat a polar bear.

the walrus is an ornery, strong and vicious animal. and it's very agile given it's weight and girth, kinda like grizz... lol :D with that said, the polar bear is also one nasty-ass motherfucker so the match-up would certainly be interesting, fierece and bloody.

Now I can definetly see the walrus giving the polar bear problems due to the mentioned above, but I could never see one defeating a polar bear, but I guess it depends one how we define defeat, most likely death but I could see these two creatures possibly tiring before one kills the other, at any rate I just don't see a walrus defeating a polar bear. Are you going to watch any of this series Chip? I just moved and don't have cable right now, this is a crisis considering the tournament just started.

i always get shit for saying this, but i don't watch tv. i watch maybe 1 or 2 shows. i watch 24 and i'll catch an occasional episode of idol when the wife is watching. don't have cable, don't go to the movies and don't rent many videos. but i do miss those nature shows for sure, escpecially the shark shows.

You know I have really been telling myself not to get cable so I can spend my time reading but fuck(I just said buttfuck lol) times like this when the tourny is going and cool shows like that are going on it's really hard. I personlly think 95% of TV is a waste of the mind but it's that 5% that I feel like I can't go without, and if I do have cable I know I wont be disciplined enough to not watch the crap. And shark shows, I love anything about sharks, very intriguing to me, probably because I am literally scared to death of them. I am fairly certain if I ever crossed pathes with a large shark I would have a heart attack, it even scares me sometimes to think about sharks in rivers or even a lake. lol

Well i defeated a Grizzly

Sounds like they owe you some money buddy. Who do you think will win in the polar bear vs. walrus and siberian tiger vs. brown bear?

walrus is to slow- Polar bear
tiger vs regular brown ( rocky mtn griz ) I'll take the tiger. against a Kodiak that would be worth paying to see.........11

I have to admit, I dont mind listening to a good banjo picker.....nor some of the other music that emerged from the appalachians over the years.

absolutely bro. some of those guys are just so over the top, it's fucking scary. yo're listening to them but you can't believe one guys is playing all those notes. guys like ray fairchild, ross nickerson, scott anderson, bela fleck and, of course, earl scruggs bring a smile to my face and humble me beyond belief. then you've got guitarists like tony rice, jerry reed, dan crary, beppe gambetta and steve kaufman who can tear it up to the point that i just want to give up playing as they me make so painfully aware of my shortcomings as a guitarist. not only is the music so beautiful and so lyrical, but their technique and feel is out this world.
