Steroid legalization NOW

This is in response to a previous thread started by pumpingiron22 which had me thinking for a while. I post on this part of the forum because this is probably the forum drawing the most attention from FBI agents.

Underage men and women of all ages shouldn't have access to anabolic steroids, for obvious reasons. Theyre abuse is unjustifiable on many degrees on this population group. On the other side of the coin, however, in men, I see an opportunity lawmakers and people in government aren't even capable of conceiving...

You enter a store to buy alcohol and cigarettes and you have to show an identification for buying, right? You have to meet certain criteria to have legal access to these drugs. These are drugs of no therapeutical use that together kill thousands of people daily, yet provide the government with tax money.

Bodybuilders should have access to anabolic steroids here in America and all over the world, just like men & women are allowed the priviledge to kill themselves over the long term by becoming addicted to tobacco smoking just because they're adults.

My scheme works like this:

1) In order to host a bodybuilding competition a minimum number of entrants are required for entry.

2) Entrants that place amongst the first three or so positions over a series of n number of contests, can apply for a professional license.

3) A professional license is granted once the bodybuilder passes a written test.

4) The first section of the tests is an assesment of the bodybuilder's knowledge of nutrition. The second section is an assesment of the bodybuilder's knowledge of muscular anatomy and weight training. The third and final section is an assesment of the bodybuilder's knowledge on the mechanism of action of anabolic steroids, the therapeutic use, benefits, and the long and short term side effects associated with these drugs.

5) By passing the test, they have gain the priviledge by virtue of their honest efforts in the pursue of physical perfection to hold a professional license. This license entitles the professional athlete to have legal access to anabolic steroids within the country of issuance and other pharmacies located outside the country we're such a license holds validity.

6) Supply is restricted by mutual agreement between a board of endocrinologists and current professional practitioners of the bodybuilding community holding titles. In this first gathering, two things are agreed upon: first, the optimal time of intake in preparation for a bodybuilding contest; two, what is deemed an excessive dosage over that period of time.

7) Bodybuilding contests dates and contestant registration are overlooked by the government. For a professional bodybuilding contest, the contestant pays an entry fee upon which he becomes registered for that competition.

8) Once registered for competiting, a bodybuilder holding a professional license has the priviledge of purchasing a limited supply of anabolic steroids during the time leading up to the contest for personal use only. His registration must be verified in the licensing "system" before purchasing is allowed.

By means of this scheme, a host of things can be accomplished:

1) Tax revenue is gathered for government.

2) The illegal supply of drugs to the country can be partially diminished, allowing government agencies to shift their attention to the smuggling of more dangerous narcotics and other relevant drugs that pose a real threat to the global community.

3) The dedicated professional bodybuilder's health is protected, by diverting his supply of pharmaceuticals from the additional dangers of illicitly manufacture drugs to the quality and assurance of drugs manufactured by USP standards.

4) We attempt to alleviate the social stigma suffered by men in the bodybuilding community due to the standard practice of doping with anabolic steroids seen as "cheating."

A justification is quite simple: anabolic steroid abuse was tailored for these special breed of men. Through the practice of bodybuilding they've have gathered enough knowledge about the importance of nutrition and weightlifting as a basis for developing a lean, muscular body that can be appreciated by people attending these bodybuilding events. They've shown their integrity and commitment to the sport.

A much simpler and more effective alternative is to unschedule anabolic steroids and legalize their purchase by men over the age of 18 or 21. This can be justified too very siply, by pointing out the fact that the worst side effects associated with anabolic steroid abuse in men are reversible upon discontinuance of the drug and some of the cosmetic side effects like gynecomastia or acne are easily dealt with during intake. On the other hand, recent studies suggests the muscle building properties of the drugs may even be permanent to a certain extend, contrary to popular belief, since training in combination with the drugs provides the muscle cells with more myonuclei that remain even after a cycle of drug abuse is over. The arguable benefits of scheduled anabolic steroids are not matched by either tobacco and alcohol which are legal. The potential short and long term risks of legal tobacco and alcohol which kill people on a daily basis far surpass those of anabolic steroids.

Last and most importantly, and I swear I'm not even being sarcastic about this: some members of the police, who are meant to enforce federal law DO TAKE ANABOLIC STEROIDS and their physiques show it. Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman and Mr. Olympia Sergio Olivia, once maximal figures in the sport of bodybuilding were dedicated policeman. You need more?

So my last message to the DEA and FBI agents sitting around all day enjoying our forums is this: tell your government to be fair.

If you agree with this thread/ or the legalization of these fabulous controlled substances please provide your signature under this thread.

This country has gone so far away from its founding principals. I believe we are no longer a democratic republic at all but transforming into a socialist nightmare where the government is way too involved in every aspect of life.

Shit, this country won't even legalize marijuana even though the majority of Americans are for it. We don't even sell codeine over the counter like many other developed countries. But you can drink yourself to death if you like. Complete hypocrisy. And guess who has to foot the bill to house all the petty criminals in the U.S. (mostly drug related, either possession, or possession with intent, maybe trafficking which could amount to less than a half ounce of cocaine in some states)? Taxpayers. Look how well some criminals live in jails in other developed countries, while we are spending ridiculous amounts of money packing 1% of our population in tiny spaces like animals.

The prison lobby is mighty.. So is the LE lobby, the pharma lobby, and several others that don't want drug laws repealed.

Anyway, the last thing I want to see is the federal government licensing professional body building. That's a pretty absurd concept IMO.

Yes, what the fuck was I thinking last night, I must've been fucking high all day yesterday. Conquistador, what the fuck

I thought it was because it shared it's name, hemp, with a natural non-patentable rope fiber.

No way should pro bodybuilders be the single group in which the government recognizes their legal right to use.

Competitive pro bodybuilding represents the absolute extreme of AAS and PED use. They are not representative of most steroid users.

It makes no sense to give only extreme drug users the legal permission to use those drugs.
