I have never felt comfortable using my debit card to buy bitcoin I’ll use for illicit activities. I feel like coinbase takes way to much personal information. There are better options that require no personal information. If you use those options to purchase and use a wallet like mycelium on a pay as you go phone there is absolutely no trace back to you.

Libertyx is awesome. Download the app and find a location near you (usually a hodgie market) They sell cards in 100, 200, 500 increments. Input the information from the card to their site and that amount of bitcoin is sent straight to your wallet. If you ever had a cell phone that used a phone card it’s literally the same process. They charge 1% fee and is absolutely anonymous.

Wallofcoins.com is pretty great to. You go to the site and order the amount of coins you’d like. They direct you to a local bank and provide an account number and you deposit the cash. Can take a few hours to verify the deposit but usually has taken minutes. Completely anonymous and coins go straight to your wallet. (Amounts over $1000 per day require ID)
Buying bitcoin isn’t illegal though. So using my debit to purchase coins doesn’t bother me.
Now sending bitcoin to a “suspicious” (or whatever you wanna call it) address could be (or found to be) illegal depending on if it comes out what the purchase was for. (That sounded confusing lol).

But if you have a personal wallet that doesn’t tie your personal identity to it then sending from there would be semi-anonymous I would think? I know they could tie all the transactions to it from the original purchase of coins but I feel ok personally just because I’m not one that orders huge amounts at a time.

If I were a source or someone that purchased large amounts of anything then I’d definitely be going about it like you stated in your post!!

Note: I’m in no way saying that people shouldn’t take this shit seriously and should always do things the safest way possible all around!!

This is just the way I do it and how I think about it. :)

I believe coinmama is not an app but a website. Do you use wallets that are not in the form of an app?
I use the apps bro! It’s more fast and easy for me is why.
I tend to love convenience with anything lol... I’m mostly on my phone and always on the go so the convenience of the apps works best for me in that way... :)

I use coinmama because it let's you use a prepaid card to purchase bitcoin. I get a my vanilla card, load it up with cash, buy the bitcoin from Coinmama, then send to my wallet from there and use the bitcoin how I want.

NOTHING is anonymous when it comes to crypto and it doesn’t matter how many times you “wash” it from wallet to wallet. One way, shape or form, it comes back to you. The government has their way of tracking EVERYTHING.

I will agree with you on this!

I never think I’m anonymous on anything. I just try to be less suspicious is all! ;)

I just reread this comment; and realized you suggested an XMR discount. I was thinking about this earlier on; and I am appreciative that you mentioned it.
I would like to take a few days to make some transactions between my personal wallets to judge how efficient this would be and how much money I would lose on the exchange back to bitcoin.
I also want to type up an instruction message for the many emails I am sure will come my way about the Monero exchange/transaction.
Thank you very much for this suggestion and for your knowledge of the currency.
Of course!

If this makes sense, 14.8ish xmr= $1006, will give you .1043 btc= $1000.

$6 dollars for a 1k exchange

XMR guide still will be written tonight everyon , fuck I’m so slow. :(

Just for clarification SymBiotics, this was just a small test I did right now, I didn’t follow through with the exchange but I was also curious what the cost would be. I picked 1k because it is a bit larger of a number and a decent reference point for determining the exchange fee.

Well since I’m already on this monero kick (in this thread), I’ll say this-
You can disappear once your on the monero blockchain and anyone tryna trace your steps or getcha will be shit out of luck. BUT I’m probably wrong and your right because the government can do, and will do whatever the fuck they want if they are intent on catching someone.

You gotta either be some sort of major pedophile, sell drugs and kill people (a death equals a bust no matter what..), or do some real terrorist shit for them to unload all their resources on you that hard though haha.

Coinbase hasn’t done me wrong...yet. I get instant coins without hassle although it’s been a month or so from my last purchase from them.
I’ve heard of coinmama but haven’t looked into em. Always good to have a backup though!
Yeah, they froze my account and removed my ability to buy coins after two transactions; it's odd because I always washed my coin before sending.

On a side note, I've even seen coinmama offer fee free BTC up to a certain amount on some days, but I haven't seen them do it in a while.

I also use Coinbase to buy BTC then I send it to a private wallet to spend. Not sure why I do the second step. I guess it makes me feel a bit safer.

Always send your coins that you purchase from coinbase to a personal wallet!
There have been many people get their account canceled by coinbase if they send it straight to a ‘questionable’ wallet address. Don’t take that chance!
Always send it to a personal wallet and then to the source (or whoever else) ;)
