SymBiotics (U.S. domestic)

All the source would have to do is give you the address in a PM. If you don't list your email or list then that is the only way you would get it. You don't have to know who is emailing you, point is they have the private address. Stanford did this when he was private. And actually, Northern Nutrition does this now.
Pretty wise in my opinion

Yea.... but that email gets passed around. We all know that!

This is all still assuming that SymBiotics was actually hacked and not just using that as a hot topic excuse.

My first post in this thread

......This is another example of a very well educated person trying to dip their toes into a steroid black market. Or put anther way, book smarts and no street smarts. Guess I see what the other 15 pages have in store.

Then there’s this little nugget where he says he has too much invested to recoup if he’s unsuccessful. He also admits that he’ll eventually make a mistake, which I’m sure everyone agrees would happen, but he also said he’d take it on the chin. Seems like he just tucked tail and ran.

This is a marathon for me. Quite possibly, this is my last marathon because I have invested more into this than I can recoup if it is unsuccessful.

I know I will make a mistake eventually that I will not catch before someone else does. Mistakes have happened before in my other careers, and they happen even with big legitimate compainies; so I will do what I have always done--take it on the chin and learn something valuable from it.

Oh right. Here I am telling him that was a stupid remark.

Stupidest thing to say and a lie. Saying that means you’ll do anything to get your money so you can make it out because as you said, you could never recoup of this venture fails.

It’s also a lie, you have nothing invested, all of the expensive stuff like filtration and autoclaves you already had and it was written off as part of your business years ago. There’s MAYBE a few thousand in supplies and consumables, most of which could be used by your wife in the pharmacy. Also, you can simply wholesale your Chinese raws domestically and completely cover any of those expense and still come out ahead.

Oh, right....

I told you, I’ve got nothing against you nor do I hate you, but there’s something off about all of this.

@SymBiotics

Hopefully I’m wrong about everything and everyone can roast me for months and years to come, until then I’ll continue looking into things that don’t sit well. Or as work picks back up I’ll naturally fade and I’ll just be the guy who posts here and there.

I’m ready for my roasting Meso.

It doesn't get passed around to every member that joined yesterday. Look, we can argue this all day, but the truth of the matter is it is an added later of protection.

I have never ever been denied a list.
I've seen new sources handing out lists like candy to very new people on a board. Most well established ones may or may not do that depending on who it is.

Certainly I do feel new members with little or no post history shouldn't be able to deal with a source on a board. That would be basic opsec, as the source doesn't know if that new user is someone with an ulterior motive.

Exactly! read my last post!

Look we can do what M&S just did and make the source section for only vetted members. I think you need like 500 or so post before it opens up to you. They just started this last week when I brought up the Clarity Labs fiasco with the email blunder he made!
That's a smart move...every honest board should do that.

This is something that should be implented asap for instances like we just had with bluerun and MD2815. Im not just saying that either Ive been on this board for a year and still wouldnt even be able to gain access at 500 post.

LOL! Would you prefer a pat on the back or a firm slap on the butt?!

You’re always appreciated during the vetting process and these guys need to be continually vetted.

Then we'd have noobs shit posting in every thread in an effort to pad their post count.

i don't see Millard going in for that either.
Restricting information, even from the most green of readers, doesn't seem like something he would want to get behind.

Ok I see your point! it was just a suggestion really. I think the more we discuss this and the more ideas we have we can get this under control once again.

I’m not arguing. You’re throwing out good ideas. I’m just pointing out the potential hurdles. I totally agree that something needs to be done. We just need to figure it out.

This isn’t a source board though so Millard isn’t going to do anything remotely close to accommodating sources here (like a special private section). It’s been long-established that sources are merely tolerated on MESO, no matter how much the members might love them.

I'm still new here compared to the long standing members, but with all of the shit that's gone down since I joined do you think there will ever come a point where sources are NOT tolerated anymore?

No because this is a free board. Millard is pretty good about letting the board work itself out. He doesn't intervene unless necessary. And members are never going to agree to no sources.. just won't happen. But the Meso vetting process does a good job of weeding out the scammers.
