Currently running my 1g deca only, but I'm also taking t3 at 50mcg. I could be bulking during this time, but I'm kind of recomping instead since I'm not lean enough. I've read a few people say they've run t3 during bulks at 50mcg (like I am) to get better protein turn over and also not get fat.

Has anyone run t3 for a year round and come off with no issues.
Has anyone run it during a bulk, or just to recomp?

Thanks.

If all you're looking for are successful anecdotes you're limiting some of the more useful feedback on this.

T3 and "protein turnover" is an L. Rea meme basically. L. Rea in Building the Perfect Beast (2002) put forth this idea that it made sense to bulk on T3. He called it PTOR and wrote up these absurdly exotic cycles with a T3 mainstay under an extreme view of "homeostasis" (i.e., that all receptors behave like beta-adrenergic receptors). Total nonsense.

Long-term T3 is a terrible idea, especially when trying to use it to build muscle.

The downside of “science” in bodybuilding. All these abstract studies in untrained couch potatoes and mice being used to justify off the wall and counterintuitive concepts.

keep shit simple and profit. Period.
Mac, wouldn't you think that if I'm still fat (probably 16-18% bf) and I took the t3 while I'm basically maintaining, and the doing the 1 gram of deca, I would get a nice recomp effect?

The alternative is to drop the t3 and bulk up, but I'm not lean enough to bulk according to a few people.

You dont need others permission to bulk man lol.

Like others have said though, T3 all the time is not something I would do unless it was for HRT reasons. If YOU feel you are too fat to bulk, then lean up some more.

A good effect of of being in a slight surplus is that your metabolism should actually peak vs. bottom out like it tends to on a hard cut.

Lol, I know I don't need anyone's permission to bulk, but I rather learn from those who have succeeded, than keep going back and forth making the same errors.

taking t3 to stay lean during a bulk doesnt make sense, all you gotta do is lower your calories if your getting too fat you dont need drugs for everything

taking t3 will also suppress your natural thyroid function once you come off which will make it even harder for you to stay lean

only time i would use it is for comp prep towards the end
Yes, I am stopping t3 today as I mentioned in my Deca only cycle blog. Thanks for the feedback.

Better protein turnover? There'll be a net increase in protein breakdown. Not really 'better' protein turnover in my book. Unless you like the idea of being able to eat a little bit more during a bulk at the expense of muscle mass, it's a terrible idea.

Listen, fatboy, do the bulk. Dieting sucks. Being lean sucks. I know it and you know it. If you wanted to be lean, you would eat in a deficit. You're not eating in a deficit. Embrace your inner thickness and go for the dad bod bulk. Grow a bunch of chest hair while you're at it. There are a lot of women that eat that up. I hope this talk helped you out.

Im no expert but i would recomp on tren seems to be the best at it !
Nandrolone is better with caloric surplus(bulk)

LOL.

I'm married, so I'm not worried.

But yes, I will embrace the deca at its full potential. Love you guys lol

taking t3 to stay lean during a bulk is almost like purposely training less when blasting gear.. you wouldn't do that, would you? probably not. all you have to do is not stuff your face with 5000 calories. you really only need 500-600 calories above maintenance to gain muscle. any more than that and you're just fluffing yourself up for no reason.

since tren suppresses thyroid function i usually ran 12.5mcg-25mcg t3 when running tren. once i upped the t3 to 75mcg or 100mcg just to experiment (while eating at maintenance) and i feel like i could have gained more muscle in that timeframe. it really all depends on how you respond to t3 though. i respond really well to it so it will inhibit my ability to gain muscle but this may not be the case for you.

i'm generally not a fan of "bulking" because i'm not a competitive bodybuilder. i only work out to look good and to stay healthy and extra fat doesn't serve either of those purposes. if i were you i'd probably make sure i don't gain any more fat while continuing to bulk. new years is right around the corner, and right after that you'll only have about 12 weeks before t shirt weather and if you're like me, you'll want to be lean for t shirt weather.

I've done a huge transformation just with lose dosages over a longer period of time... Here's me from Feb to Oct; i could have done it faster with a huge deficit, instead, I "maingained" and let the training and drugs work their magic.
