Contrary to what many believe is an "urban legend" chemicals found in plastics cause sexual development problems in animals ...and humans..Read new study on infants http://apnews1.iwon.com/article/20050527/D8ABHM280.html

in addition atrazine..the most popular pesticide in the US causes male frogs to develop ovaries and have less testosterone than female frogs.

I stand corrected. A Google "News" search, different from a regular Google search, on "phthalate" (pronounced tha-late) shows hundreds of news articles from mainstream news sources, most of them related to the effects above. Click here to run the search. I thought it was significant that some of the effects were observed from "normal" environmental exposure. Thanks for posting this, Prot, and bringing it to everyone's attention.

A study of 85 infant boys found a correlation between increased exposure to some forms of the chemical phthalate and smaller penis size and incomplete testicular descent.

if theres a chemical that decreases penis size then is there one that increases penis size and give extra testicles :) at birth

Good Post

I always knew there was something fishy about that Mary who skips to work at the plastic factory....

I never trust a guy who dresses like Carmen Maranda and doesn't use organic fruit.....

I smell a femanazi conspiracy

Seriously,

After reading OUR STOLEN FUTURES over 10 years ago I stopped using plastics whenever possible. If you haven't read that book you should check it out. Please always look at me like I am crazy when I tell them I don't want plastic anything. My girlfriends knew this and still tried to cook a roast in a plastic bag - I flipped (twice, 2 different girls).

Good post
