The Fox News poll

When President Barack Obama took an unplanned stop on the tour of Thomas Jefferson’s home Monday, he joked to French President Francois Hollande, “That’s the good thing as a president -- I can do whatever I want.” The remark made headlines because Obama’s critics have long said he acts like he really believes that.

Among the most recent examples, they cite Obama’s State of the Union declaration that he plans to take policy actions “with or without Congress” -- and this week’s White House announcement that it is delaying another key deadline in the health care law Congress passed in 2010.

Americans say not so fast, Mr. President.

According to a just-released Fox News national poll, most voters don’t think the country’s system of government was designed for the president to act unilaterally, and a majority disapproves of Obama bypassing Congress.

Click here for the poll results.

The new poll finds that 74 percent think the president using executive orders to get around Congress is not how things are supposed to work in our country. That includes 54 percent of Democrats.

Large majorities of independents (80 percent) and Republicans (93 percent) believe it goes against our system for the president to act independently to advance his policies.

Even when asked to set aside their views on how the government is supposed to work, by a wide 60-37 percent margin voters still disapprove of Obama going around Congress.

Almost all Republicans disapprove of Obama acting without lawmakers (90 percent), as do two-thirds of independents (66 percent).

Democrats approve by a 66-31 percent margin.

Fox News Poll: Voters don’t like President Obama bypassing Congress | Fox News
Overall, about one voter in five approves of Obama's use of executive orders even though they don’t believe it’s the way things are supposed to work.

The Fox News poll is based on landline and cell phone interviews with 1,006 randomly chosen registered voters nationwide and was conducted under the joint direction of Anderson Robbins Research (D) and Shaw & Company Research (R) from February 9-11, 2014. The full poll has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points.

I think everyone should have a balance of both sides of the news as they are both bias. And come up with your own outlook. But as far as I'm concerned fox is the only one that is not scared to actually report new other new rather report about movie star's and ignore what is going on in America. Or just tell us its all the republicans fault. Imo

If Fox told me what time it was I wouldn't believe them unless I looked at my watch.

Your mind is too made. Most people cant not continue to learn and grow with such a mind set. It's kinda like you already know it all.
Bro, look at that rag ( British rag I think) you always quote. Most of it is pure anti-capitalism, and they dont care what bs they print as long as it fits their cause.
You paste em, I read em, and they are usually silly.
Conservatism is just a common sense, and the acceptance of mans virtues and faults.
Im here to be your Churchill :)

I love the way everyone accuses FNC of being a "biased" news source while completely ignoring MSNBC. Sure, FNC airs its share commentary but it still offers hard news. The same can't be said for MSNBC - it offers nothing BUT commentary - 24 hours a day. Pure propaganda.

The reason for this obvious enmity, of course, is FNC's viewership is in the millions where MSNBC's is only a few thousand. FNC dominates everyone in ratings and it's driving the left crazy. Still, accusing one of bias and not the other is hypocritical.

And also soon to be impeached.
Never happen. Republicans (most in Washington) are pussies. Big, loose, sloppy, stinky, bow tie wearing pussies.
Yep, they will still probably get my vote..........Unless Putin immigrates.[:o)]

Speaking of bow ties. I hate fkers in bow ties. Instantly. Some guy stripping and make the ladies pay is ok, its for fun. But I cant stand a bow tie wearing fuk.
Its like an unexplainable instant hate. No need to add water, Im pissed. Sets me the fuk off

I couldn't agree more. Bow ties are suitable attire for little boys. A grown man wearing one looks like a fool. It's the reason I just can't take BILL NYE (the Science Guy) seriously.

CBS understand MSNBC does serve a purpose! Yep indeed it makes those who are NOT left or far left understand exactly WHY!

In short, MSNBC ensures conservative stay, well conservative.

Goodness if the left only realized what a service MSNBC provides for the right, that "news station" would have been dumped LONG AGO! [:o)]

Therein lies the problem. It's been my experience that many on the left view themselves as elite, therefore, "common sense" is discounted as an overly-simplistic and quaint arena belonging to "the great unwashed." i.e., the idea that many problems might have solutions that are innate is beneath them. They tend to favor the "scholarly" opinions of other elitists over their own personal experience. For example, unless a study has proven men are turned-on by large breasts, they won't believe what their own peckers are telling them. Instead, they'll search for answers in a veritable sea of isms and ists and gurus and sages. It's the reason frauds like Chomsky acquire an assemblage of fervid disciples.

Yea and where did Obama receive almost ALL of his advice from?

Those same elite physicians whom probably couldn't diagnose appendicitis, treat strep throat, understand what is required to run an office or know how to tell a relative NOTHING more SHOULD be done for their loved one. (In France a single physician makes that decision not some F..ing hospital board, should the relatives insist "everything be done" regardless)

Why? Because most of them numb nuts don't even PRACTICE medicine!!

I saw old Bill doing an interview on global warming a few weeks ago. He was kinda a bit of a knowitallprick. Said that its been so damned cold this year is because its so damned hot from global warming.
It reminded me of my older brothers rule when we were kids. "Heads I win--Tails you lose" and the one time the coin rolled up next to the TV and stayed on its side--he won that one also. Because he was bigger than me.
He taught the Hot Earth Society well.........Ive gotta go feed the dog. I cant stand the thought of him being on an empty stomach on these hot winter nights.

They practice the medicine of control and power. Which is really all obamacare is about when you get down to the bottom of the trash barrel.
Global Warming---same thing.
IRS---the same.
