For a lot of people struggling to gain weight, 200g minimum protein is a relatively decent starting point, might not be ideal for some. But pushing 300g of protein can be tough for new people especially if trying for more whole food sources.

I wasn't talking about on cycle. The concensus of all replies prior to mine was he needs to eat more first before trying to cycle, which is what I was giving my .02 cents on.
And you most definitely can reach those calories without a bunch of fat. It's quite easy. I've seen many guys including myself get solid gains from the macros I outlined.
Sorry, my post was kind of dickish, I'm not trying to be a dick. But in case you were unaware, this is how macros are broken down
Carbohydrates- 4 calories per gram
Protein- 4 calories per gram
Fat-9 calories per gram
Alcohol-7 calories per gram
So if you instruct OP to eat 200p and 300c but to eat 3500-4000 cals, he is only getting 2000 calories from carbs and protein. The remaining 1500-2000 would have to come from fat, at 9 calories per gram. You are looking at 170-220 grams of fat to reach those cals! I'm not saying you couldn't gain on it, but that is a lot of fat, and a large amount of those calories would best be used on slightly more protein and a LOT more carbs. You are basically reccomending a 20% protein 30% carb 50% fat macros if you want him to eat 4K cals with your stated macros. That is NOT ideal for building muscle!!
