I think if we made everything legal, we would learn eventually which drugs and creams and, heaven forbid, antler sprays actually have benefits and what their risks are. Then perhaps we could adjust the rules and the banned substance list accordingly.

What if we did away with the cheaters by making it all legal? Would our children be more likely to follow athletes’ down the anabolic steroids’ path? I don’t know. That’s more of a parenting issue than it is an athlete’s responsibility, anyway.
