Right now I'm working tech/overpaid 'admin assistant' (I do neither of these things, realistically, so I'm not sure what my job actually is. These are just the titles I'm touting). Before that I was mostly in sales and management type jobs. New company is taking over so I'm waiting on a new job contract, if that contract doesn't come with a good wage increase I'm not sure what I'll be doing.

That's real sweet of them to decorate it up like that. What grade(s) do you teach? Younger? I imagine the appreciation for you isn't unwarranted.

Third grade. Only 19 students. They’re all very independent now. (Except a few) Worked hard to get them there. Only a few more weeks left until summer.

As for the accent, I think it's most prevalent with Newfies. I think we sound just like Americans in TV shows, but I have posted voice clips before and had American friends say they can tell I have a 'Canadian accent'. Mean while, the people here always ask if I'm not from here because they think I have an 'accent'. Maybe I am just speech impeded. Wouldn't be shocked to find that out.
