Because they thought they could cover the Offsprings “Gone Away” and they absolutely butchered one of the greatest songs in the past 20 years. Gone Away is one of the most passionate and emotion filled songs I’ve ever heard, and FFDP took it and made a generic absolute bullshit cover that was completely devoid of any passion or emotion.

So u didn't like one song they re-did. Word

I’m southern born and raised and country hasn’t truly been country since the 80’s.

Country music these days is just pop music with a country accent. The 80’s were the peak and it’s just declined since then.

No I think all their songs are generic tone deaf crap, but they really pissed me off when they did their cover of Gone Away. That was the final straw for me that broke the camels back and made me realize full well how much they lack actual talent and how arrogant they are to think they could even match The Offspring, much less exceed them. Look at Nirvana for instance. Every Meat Puppets cover they did far exceeded the original artists work because Nirvana had actual talent, FFDP has zero talent which is why they’re on the radio making music for the lowest common denominator.
