Started by pulling carpet up, and ripped off existing treads, then replaced with new treads and risers, BUT totally forgot to put on wall pieces first! Actually ended up having my buddy come help, he wasn't happy. He's like dude, now i need to cut around every single tread, instead of just doing 90* cuts, he's like this is why you put on wall pieces first. HAHA. It turned out good, paid him extra, and a bunch of beer. He was happy.
