Second it seems like you are contradicting yourself telling Ben to ,eave your thread alone. Isn't that telling someone what to do.

His point is that in an unmoderated forum these actions make it appear moderated by a few with the “ability” let’s say, to impose their will on a threads path.

Well I’m just telling him to let this thread be. I’m not going into any of his threads or anyone else’s thread for that matter and asking them to do something different. And it is my thread now. It was TGI’S thread, and I just informed him 5 mins ago that I was taking over the thread and making it my weed thread. He gave me his blessings and told me be careful because ppl will probably want to try to take me down too.
So it’s my thread now. Unless Millard says that he doesn’t want that, which I will respect his opinion, I’m gonna to do what I said. He may move the thread to a different place, and that’s his decision.
I respect Millard and anything he wants or doesn’t want. After that tho, I don’t much care about anybody else’s opinion no more than anybody else cares about mine.

You know EXACTLY what I meant.

It is clear that this thread was doing what it does with the members in it and derailed on purpose because someone didn’t like it.

That’s, frankly, a remarkably ridiculous comment to make. A forum is unmoderated by non-interference. If you don’t consider what was done interference you’re lying to yourself. Nobody’s fault posts here had an intention of an end result. Don’t play devils advocate for the sake of it. Post with some logic behind it.

Maybe you missed the memo? I don’t care what it looks like to you or anyone for that matter. I’m not gonna be bound by any unwritten rule book on how to behave in this thread.
And threads that run this long and have so much attention is what sells advertising on this site. But that probably escaped your thought process.
This thread helps with that process. So yes this a harm prevention site but it has costs to maintaining it. That’s what advertising does for the site owner.
I’m fully aware of how sites work behind the scenes. This site probably brings in between 5k to 10k a month. There is a lot more in play than rule number 93 about how to behave in a source thread.
Millard was smart in keeping it unmoderated because that allows more communication which builds threads and members faster, which in turn allows him to sell advertising at a larger price for the same amount of space.
Millard is a business man and I applaud his thought process when he constructed this site. That’s why he doesn’t intervene in this thread as long as nobody’s security is at risk.
