Ouch. His life has really taken a downward spiral. When you dance with Mr. Booze, you get your toes stepped on.

Exactly why I was saying alcohol is retarded in Nandro’s thread. Alcohol is good for literally nothing, it’s only ability is to destroy. Whether that be lives or relationships, it’s a toxic substance that has no place in being legal. It’s quite literally the drug for bumbling morons. I don’t use heroin nor would I ever, but even that shit is classier than alcohol is. Alcohol is straight stupid.

Booze fucks up lives, no doubt. But I sense you haven't spent much time around junkies. I tried to help my nephew when he and his lady started with heroin. They lost their kids, and his lady died from an overdose shortly after that. In her 20's. Alcohol can turn people into trash, no doubt, but I lost all respect for my nephew over that shit...it didn't help that he stole from me to feed his habit. But in my experience, junkies and those addicted to abusing pain meds are some of the most uncaring, numb motherfuckers on this earth. I know plenty of drunks that can still make it to work every day, albeit in bad shape sometimes.

I guess this is a lesson to those trying to win over people's respect on the internet. You're wasting your time, because when you are at your lowest you will become a tasteless meme.

Stay classy MESO
Well let’s see. I’m supposed to have sympathy for a guy fresh out of jail awaiting trial who gets drunk and goes for a ride with his wife on the back of his crotch rocket. Feel sorry for his wife that climbed on back knowing he was drinking? Then lied to the cops about it to save his ass despite he had just killed his wife due to his bad decision? Naw man. Fuck all that. Wife was a meth head. Titter is a dumbass.

Let this sink in a bit. If he would lie about the accident that killed his wife what you think he’s going to do to save his ass from here on out? Glad I wasn’t “friends” with him. That fan club of his should be worried. Actually shitting bricks. Lol.

My cousin is a hopeless alcoholic that is draining his parents retirement funds and they may have to go back to work just to survive as a result. Alcohol can be just as bad as heroin, maybe even worse in some instances. You may have known drunks, but not on the level of my cousin. I feel bad for him because I know addiction is a mental disease, but his behavior is most definitely on the level of a junkie. He’s in the hospital on medical assistance, the tax payers dime, every week or every other week. He doesn’t have to worry about relapsing because he knows he can go to the hospital the next day when he’s on the verge of seizing and not have to pay a damn thing for it. His parents spent countless thousands of dollars putting him through rehab multiple times and he always relapses within a few months at most. He’s in his late thirties and I honestly don’t expect him to live until 50 and even that is being generous. I respect your comment but I wholeheartedly disagree because I have seen alcoholism turn people into things just as bad as heroin addicts. They’re both on par, alcohol and heroin, in their ability to completely destroy the life of the addict and the lives of those who care about them. We as a society just tend to look down upon junkies more because their drug of choice is illegal when most morons don’t even think alcohol is a drug because our society and culture in the US is fucking stupid and ass backwards.

Alcohol is... a toxic substance that has no place in being legal.

Seems to me that they tried banning alcohol and it didn't work out so well. Prohibition laid the foundation for organized crime in America. Meth is quite illegal, and that doesn't seem to change anything. The Mexican cartels certainly have no issues with making a fortune from its sale.

Addicts in general are toxic -- it's the nature of addiction. Banning substances has been shown time and time again to be ineffective at preventing people from becoming addicts. I don't see why I shouldn't be able to enjoy a glass of Oban with my cigar after work because some people can't keep their shit sorted out.

IMO just legalize EVERYTHING (drugs) and tax it all. Might take the “forbidden fruit” aspect out of it all and who knows what would happen next. Junkies are gunna get their fix if they got the money. At least that money could contribute to schools or some shit. We know too much alcohol can kill us and others not even drinking. Yet it still happens. We know H will fuck you up, yet it still happens. Oh one last thing, age limit for drugs.... 12. We gotta solve this overpopulation crisis.

The song “chasing dragons” sums up the life of the heroin users.

“ I’m an honest man, but I’m
Out robbing people”

Agree!! We have already proven in the 1920's that prohibition doesn't work. Making a substance illegal does absolutely nothing as a deterrent against usage. We should adopt the same philosify as Portugal in terms of all drug usage. The U.S. will never allow that to happen because the government is making far too much money on " the war on drugs". I am a recovering addict, and even I would be on board with legalization.

I'm a recovering addict as well, friend, got 3 years clean in august! I thought i remembered hearing about some country that did legalize everything (other than manufacturing and distribution but not purchasing or possession of small quantities). Hell phenibut is totally legal and those withdraws... I cold turkeyed off of heroin, meth, and benzos (what a rough ride) but phenibut was roughfff on a differnt way. how long you got clean bro? AA, NA?

Yep I agree and the Portugal model is an excellent example. Legalizie all drugs, tax it and use those tax dollars for rehabilitation. If I remember correctly the drug use there went down to a little over 50%. We're not gonna do that here. Too much money to be made in illegal activities. We've lost our morals.

I actually have a degree in science. Took organic chemistry in college. Got to work with a gas chromatograph for a little while. So I understand the basics. I’m nowhere near being an expert but I submit samples of various media to a 3rd party laboratory that we subcontract. I know who to ask questions too. They won’t ever be able to run analysis on any illegal substances simply because they don’t have the calibration standards. And anything that they run would be logged as part of their QA/QC requirements to maintain their accreditation.

As far as the sources here? Well, we may be a smidge mean every now and then. But contrast that with ASF (which motivated my thread “Why MESO is so hard on Sources) where they embrace and LOVE the sources that PAY to source there. They currently have a special on bit of infectious gear from Feral:

Dude had to go to hospital and get lanced. Looks like fun doesn’t it?

The guy is a contributing veteran member over there and posted wondering how to NICELY report the infection. Afraid of blowback or creating “drama” I guess. He indicated what he was running and the other bros over there seem to be siding with the source.

What would MESO do in this situation? Yep. The source would be cooked alive.

MESO isn’t changing. Fuck the sources. We stick together as MESO members and it flushes out the crackhead kitchen brewers. Even Sym’s vials of floaters didn’t cause blood and puss. The guys that noticed the floaters reported it right away. @justanoob I believe was the first and he handled it perfectly. ASF would typically want that shit handled behind the scenes.

big respect to members United, looking out for each other.

Portugal would be that country. They decriminalized everything..You should read up on that, very interesting. If I make until Feb 2021 I will have 7 yrs in recovery...For the 2nd time in my life..lol. My path has been a little crooked to say the least. The end of 2012 I blew 13 years of continuous sobriety, clean time, which ever you prefer. Stopped taking care of myself and " thought I could drink socially again"..EPIC FAILURE..Lol..Very grateful to have had a 2nd chance at recovery..Some people never get a 1st chance

So true. I hate hearing about coworkers and friends with family going through addiction because, even though people like you and I got on the right path, not everyone makes it out alive.
