TRT or self experimentation?

I'm trying to determine if it is worth it to go TRT with a doctor, go UGL or some combination of the two.

It's not just the money thing but because I seem to be pretty good at finding out what works for myself as I have lots of experience with all kinds of drugs and dosages and I'm not really a fan of doctors tbh LOL.

I'm completely new to hormones...so there's that. On one hand I could sorta get a nice try before you buy experience and get some cheap test UGL and some exemestane to back me up and I could experiment with different doses and even see what a much higher dose would be like. I could get blood tests done on my own or have a GP or maybe another TRT clinic analyze what is going on.

If I were to go with TRT, I'm thinking about a TRT clinic online. Let's say I could get it down to $100-200/mo. vs UGL. I know that is still more expensive but I would be getting the pharma grade as well as some professional help. Maybe less risk, more consistency? Maybe something easier to explain to someone if I had to. Or to go travel somewhere having a prescription might be nice.

It would partly be to treat depression and for my well being as well. But I know that I would like to use it for the gym in the long run as long as I was in a good place mentally and physically.

Then there is also a possibility that I could keep the TRT and up the dose of test or throw in some Anavar or something further down the road. But then they probably would see my test levels are too high and everything is out of wack. Not sure if they would keep me on the program if I admitted to taking extra test or something else in addition. I'm sure they have to stick to the guidelines or at least not let it turn into a legalized contest prep service.

I'm leaning towards UGL but I'm not really sure if I will even go through with either yet as it is all still seems pretty crazy. But I am getting closer and closer every day to making the decision. I would like to "try it", but it seems like something that is uniquely hard to just try because the results seem to be so unpredictable from case to case. I could get massive gyno or my production could shut off completely. I'm not really planning to have kids but I'm not really down with being infertile either. Small balls? Taking Exemestane, HCG or test for the rest of my life? My levels were always around 330-520 ng/dl but besides the meaningless (IMO) number, everything about my life situation and symptoms seem to make me a prime candidate for this treatment.

I didn’t read all of that. Sorry.

But I got the gist of your dilemma.

If you think you can study up about how to do trt including using ai, hcg etc when appropriate then go for it with ugl. They have everything here.

If you’re a total newbie and have no idea what you’re doing and actually need trt then go to a doctor/ Clinic until you get the hang of it and how to do it with them. Then you can venture off into the ugl world and experiment with different compounds after you have the basics down

I stick with legal TRT through a clinic and just supplement my own if I want more. Can get test, deca, and anavar legally. Sure it’s expensive in comparison to ugl but it’s a small price to pay for employment’s sake. Can also travel with it but I’ve never travelled long enough for it to concern me to actually bring it. I just double up on the dose before I leave and call it a day if I’m only going away for less than a week

Dude I used to go to doctor and most of them don’t know shit about testosterone. TRT so new they didn’t learn that shit in school…. Honestly the testosterone I get from sponsors here or the other forum I belong to is just as good as the shit that comes from the pharmacy. Don’t go pay a doctor , I’ve heard of doctors prescribing 100mg a week or even 50mg every 2 weeks…. Most don’t know shit like I said.

I was originally prescribed 200mg test cyp ONCE PER MONTH by an endo. Ran pretty fast from her lol

How do you get those compounds legally? Not in the US?
If you do decide to go with a UGL instead of a trt clinic, what do you stand to gain? If it's mostly about the money then that's an easy decision to make.

Ya thats crazy. I would think 250 a week even if it is kinda high for some people would be a good dose and pretty safe with little side effects. I mean whats wrong with high test? Seems like they are afraid of going higher. I could understand 500mg is probably pushing it but if theres no health consequences and the patient feels good i dont see why not.

That is a huge range. What do you mean by "always around?" How many times has this been tested? Why?

How old are you?

What is your body fat level?

What about other indicators on your blood tests, e.g., estradiol, FSH, LH?

What else are you taking? You mentioned depression. Some drugs to treat issues like this suppress testosterone.

Do you work out? Serious question, not some sort of internet insult.

What does your diet look like?

TRT is pretty much an experiment no matter how it is done. I have been on Dr prescribes TRT for over 20 years. And have never seen a study were people on TRT do better than those that let nature take it's course. Most Dr.s will do a moderate approach to TRT which may be the healthier way over time. Clinics seem to run higher dosages but more is not always better. And doing your own TRT will often push for an outcome that is desired even if it isn't the best. Dr.s are told not to treat themselves of their family for a reason. That said i take my Dr. prescribed TRT and adjust it as i see fir as many do. But i don't kid myself that that is the best or healthiest way. But i will reap what i sow good or bad. Feeling good especially in the shorter term and health a often are not the same thing. It takes time to accrue damage and buy the time that damage can be documented there will likley be long term consequences on some level.

As a fellow drug/substance enthusiast I understand your confidence in these sorts of things. But, hormones are a whole new ball game. If you're new to hormones you might consider finding a decent doctor/clinic to get you started on a regimen that works for you - then once you've got it all figured out, dump the doc for ugl or homebrew. Just make sure you keep up with your blood work because things can change.

Talking about the dosage. I have tested 3 times and was about 330, 430, 520 respectively. Ya I took an antidepressant. That last time I didn’t take an anti depressant and I had a trainer with a pretty dialed in diet training about 4x a week. I went back on the drug, dont have a trainer anymore. Life got in the way but I moved and just started working out again and getting my diet back. Mostly talking about prepping meals and stuff. I have been pretty healthy but I’m trying to do the whole bodybuilding diet/training thing now. I struggle to lose body fat or get much stronger past a point and I’ve done legit programs and it isn’t really even a half way impressive point but then again I’m pretty hard on myself. I couod get stronger but it usually just means getting fatter and I’m already not that lean so its kind of annoying. Besides that the depression, energy and aging it is definitely something I’m looking into.

Ya i had a test and it was at a TRT clinic and most everything was within range and good. I’m probably 20% or more body fat level. And I’m 39. I’m going for a diet of mostly a cup of rice or a potato with 6oz of meat 3 times a day. Chicken probably two meals and beef the 3rd. 4 meal going to be mostly 1/2-1 cup of oatmeal in the form if oatmeal or with a smoothie with a banana cup of berries 1-2 scoops of whey isolate and 5 egg whites. Either morning or night time. I wake up at 4 am so fuck that shit.

I think some of your posts make it seem like health, and longevity.

Then you have bits of performance enhancing like anavar, high dose test.

Then I see this that shows you have very little understanding what is going on in the gym, diet, and training

You really seem to be all over the place and it does seem you are looking for an excuse to do drugs.

Starting PEDs and mentioning higher than normal physiological doses without getting the basics done.

I'm just trying to be real where with this is all heading.

My levels were always around 330-520 ng/dl but besides the meaningless
These readings are reference value
(11.44nmol/L - 18nmol/L)
In the BeneLux and Germany the value are ( 8.6nmol/L - 29nmol/L)
(8.6nmol/L = 248ng/dL) overhere you do not get TRT prescribed on this value
