URGENT: If you use same password on MESO that is used on other forums or email accounts, please change it immediately.

There are credible reports that other website forums and vendors have been hacked. If you used the same password on those forums that you use on MESO, you could be at risk.

If you are using PROTONMAIL(or any email that utilizes 2fa) you better activate 2FA in your protonmail settings immediately.

This will make it very difficult to compromise your account.

Download the AUTHY app, and use it for 2FA credentials.

Go to protonmail then SETTINGS> Security> turn on 2factor authorization.

You should be using STRONG unique passwords for every site. Stop using the same passwords, stop using weak passwords.

Get a password manager. Make 1 strong password you can remember, and use it to manage your passwords.

I have been saying this forever to my clients.... Time to smarten up.

Meso is solid. The hacker admitted that he got the passwords from hacking the Panda and Dragon websites, then comprised a few members that used the same password for those sites that they do here.

No, there is no evidence that MESO has been hacked.

I would still recommend changing passwords.

I would highly recommend 2-factor authentication to secure your account on MESO. It's easy. And since most people access MESO via mobiles, the Google Authenticator app is convenient.

I really like AUTHY as it stores an encrypted backup. Google is good but you need to make sure you keep the backup codes for each site, etc. If you lose your phone and don't have the codes safe somewhere you are SOL.

No, but it makes perfect sense. All of the hacked accounts have been pretty open about their dealings with the (comprised) sources.
