What is possible? For normal folks, I mean?

Wasn’t that flex’s thing? “Genetic defect,” lacking myostatin.

i read about it and some said that wax an excuse to hidden his massive drugs use...

But... cmon... don’t be idiot... Flex was like that at 22 yo... Markus Ruhl.. Coleman.. Cutler.. Arnold... Franco Columbu.. Kevin Levrone.. Big Ramy... Shawn Ray... they re not normal people who ran “high amount of steroids” ...

I know some guys who run legit aas and even good HGH and insulin and look like decent natties... fuckin genetic is fuckin important.. that’s not the only thing, but it’s crucial.. you cant be tall 190cm just because you wanna

It is difficult to know how they eat and train though. They post here "Diet is on point" and other bullshit that means nothing.

Steroids work. You can turn a woman into a muscular man by giving her testosterone.

And they work for me, too. I guess I am just wondering what the limits are for folks who are not so genetically blessed.

Mike Matarrazo - he blamed his health on steroids, and he was running a BUNCH, and now he is dead.

Flex Wheeler is not so healthy anymore, either.

So I don't know about their genetics, given where they ended up. They did not have good genetics for tolerating hormone abuse or good genetics for longevity and health.

No, I didn't say that any old Joe can even win a local show. I was just speaking on terms of being muscular and impressive despite bad genetics. Nope, not everyone can win a local competition, no matter what they use...yes, due to genetics
Just so I am clear (I am picking on you because you used to compete), you think it takes some special genetics to get to the level of the amateur posted above in post #10?

What percentage of the population do you think can develop into that size of build?

if you took 2000 mg test, 1000 mg deca, 800 mg EQ, dbol 50 mg ed, adrol 100 mg ed, 15 iu hgh pinned 3x a day, 5 iu each. and you ate 6000 cals and trained 2x a day an hour and half each muscle, and did this for 8 years straight. you would be huge. So would I.

then cut with 1000 mg tren and primo 1000 mg. Perma blasting. Year round.

I bet you would make it to elite levels too. If you didnt die first.

thats what these guys do, they get bloodwork done but dont care if it kills them.

Ok... I took notes... thanks... I m gonna do some shopping

@malfeasance

As to how big someone can get, I really don't know. I would say *most* people could get to a "competitive" level but may never win even local contests regularly without those extra few percentage points from genetics. And of course even regular local winners may not even be top 10 in regionals etc.

That said, you might consider taking a few of your "thought piece" threads (plus their replies) and crafting them into articles to be published either here or other sites. You have the writing "voice" for it in my opinion and between your premise questions and some of the more thoughtful responses there is a ton of content.

Just a thought.

Absolutely takes good genetics to even look like that on amateur level. 90% of men wouldn't look like that no matter how they ate, trained, or what gear they ran. It's reality.

The genetics question, I thought, had been put to rest years ago, because of increasing knowledge in regard to the science of genetics as the years have gone on. It's now become a tired old argument. To say that genetics in BB terms is "bullshit" and a non-factor is both wishful thinking and delusional. It's not worth the argument anymore. This article does a good job explaining the science behind genetics as it relates to BB. Of course, these days we live in an anti-science environment, which might explain the ignorance. Ho-hum, here we go again:
