I'm not sure I know what circuit version you're talking about. I always did the madcow program. The one where you ramp up to a 5rm on monday for squat, bench, and row, wednesday you do light squats and ramp up to your 5rm press and deadlift, and friday you add 2.5% and do 3 reps on same lifts as monday.Did you do the original bill star madcow 5x5 or the circuit bill star version?
I haven't done it in a while so sorry if I didn't explain that very well, but I'm sure you can figure out which program I'm talking about.
