Its varies. For me fats are def the way to go. It stabilizes blood sugar when taken with protein. Instead of the inevitable insulin spike that will come with carbs. Usually resulting in the feeling of sleepiness alot of ppl get after a big meal. A big steak and some veggies or some chicken with avocado is a more desirable choice for me. Obviously there are many possibilities of mixing fats with protein but for alot of ppl like me these combos provide a more stable platform to base your day and activities around. How does that energy feel opposed to carbs? I feel that too much fats make me feel sluggish
Not when you take away the carbs and your body converts to fats . See ? Its that simple . I have twice the energy now (just ask my wife )

Maybe one of these days I'll give this keto thing a try. Right now I'm liking my carbs though. I'd have to learn a whole new way to eatIts varies. For me fats are def the way to go. What i described isnt really keto. Im not trying for ketosis. Shit is a miserable state to be inMaybe one of these days I'll give this keto thing a try. Right now I'm liking my carbs though. I'd have to learn a whole new way to eat
But they say there is no more fat loss with a low carb vs low fat diet. The times I've googled it, that's what I've found. It wasnt a matter of me hating the carbs , it was more like me hating that little "inner tube" thats around my midsection . And its now deflating rapidly...

And your experience supports the less midsection fat theory? How many calories are you below maintenance?Ive read that study and Ive also read recent ones where some think excessive carbs put the midsection fat on , and it takes minus<carbs to take it off .
ALOT of successful bodybuilders have used the Keto diet/lifestyle to win contests and alot of sick, obese people have been "cured" with the Keto diet . Its regaining popularity because it just plain works , if you work it right...

In the end its really just a calorie thing . Less you lose weight/more you gain . Dont matter what your diet is , its just I lose control when I eat alot of carbs.
Yeah its just cal in vs cal out deal. No magic to it. Its easier to control w/o carbs. The study was correct. Just the wrong application assumed on the readers partAnd your experience supports the less midsection fat theory? How many calories are you below maintenance?

OK I see now. I feel like I'd be the opposite. Plus I get sick to death of seeing these bs keto recipes with a pound of cheese etc... I'm not gonna allow myself to eat that way. It disgusts me. Im sure there are healthy ways to do it thoughYeah its just cal in vs cal out deal. No magic to it. Its easier to control w/o carbs. The study was correct. Yeah, 36 is accurate. I think really what turns me away from it are the food choices but I'm not saying I won't try it. I'm sure I definitely will. And I've read about the health benefits and they make sense. But from a fat loss perspective does it really matter? And you are 36 yrs old ? (your profile) and probably dont have high blood sugar or too high cholesterol YET. Some of us here are 20 years your senior and have both , so the low-carb way suits some of us well .
As far as lbs of cheese , it does seem redundant but also realize the fat is being burned up in the stove (body) instead of being stored . And since theres no excess carbs to get in the way , the body burns up most if not all of it . So the theory goes....
