Breakfast with the minions. Third day back at the gym after my hospital stay yesterday, and I fucked off my back setting down some dumbbells. I swear it feels like getting old is just shorter lengths between various injuries sometimes . Hopefully my lower back bounces back quickly, it felt like something shifted when I was setting down the dumbbell in my left hand. Hopefully it is just a muscle and not a disc, fucker hurts for real. I'm falling apart. End of rant, thanks for letting me vent

I’ve been battling sciatica since 2015
About 16 months ago I got a injection and it really helped. Then due to insurance lapse I had to wait 3 months and they would only pay for 1/2 injection ,,,
Anyway fast forward to now, and about 2 months ago I got the full injection.
Well this last week I’ve been pain free or at least haven’t had to adjust for it.
I don’t face either side.
That’s kinda a first.
I’m not trying to get too excited cause I know back problems, they snatch you right out of heaven.
The only 2 new things I’ve done, is deadlifts, and I used some machines at the gym for inner legs, and the hip abductor machine.
This was only my second time, using the machine, and I doubled the weight this time.
I did 40 last time, and this time 80
I probably could of went more than 40 last time but the hips felt really tight. They were looser today.
I hate to say it, but I think my back injury might have been caused by having lack of strength in my glutes.
Then again I could be full of shit, and I feel it again soon.
But I figured I would share that, as ppl with chronic pain, or always up for any advice. At least I am!
