What R U Eating ? ~OGH wants to know.....

Man I wish I could still eat those kinds of things. That looks tasty. I'm not sure what happened in life, but I seemed to have developed some food allergies, shellfish being one of them. Its like Russian roulette, 50/50 chance my stomach will blow up if I eat crab/lobster/shrimp. I used to go do all you can eat surf & turf, a couple weird trips to the hospital stopped all of that for me :( ... I used to eat shellfish all the time
thank God I'm good with seafood. I'm sorry man. Anything spicy puts me into a week long tailspin at a minimum

I swear something happens to our bodies w/ age. I used to eat things that would make a billy-goat puke haha... Now, sometimes I feel like a geriatric patient waiting in line at Luby's Cafeteria

I'll never stop eating "real food" though.. probably die from it like most people. No sense in eating to live to be 95, just to be a better looking corpse. I'll take 75-80 and feel lucky

I sorta feel your pain. Around 4 years ago I ate a shrimp poboy at a Hooters restaurant. Quickly after I had a bad reaction and broke out in hives. Since then I've had half a dozen allergies from shrimp. Its like you said, its hit or miss. All of my allergies have luckily only came from shrimp from a restaurant. I live along the coast so now when I want shrimp I buy fresh and cook them myself and this has worked for me thus far. I eat seafood once or twice a week and would be devastated if my allergies worsened.

I used to watch all these Man vs Food, & DDD, Anthony Bourdain etc shows, and plan out all these experimental "foods trips" in my mind... and now I know I cant eat half that shit w/o suffering a bit lol. I think a little gluten intolerance now also, but I still hammer a NY style pizza every 2 weeks lol.. esp when they look like this:

There's a few supps out there like glutenease or the like that can help with occasional gluten eating. Not realy meant to be a permanent fix but it somehow blocks some of the enzymes. Epic pizza BTW!

Thanks for the tip, I will check that stuff out for sure!

Did you prepare that WHJ on my coutertops when I easnt looking? Same as mine lol.

Last time I had a friend drop off a few lbs of wild hog jerky was in N. Texas. Was hog jerky capital of the U.S. when I lived there... gutted a few myself, and busting that backstrap of hard fat behind the neck was crazy, it was like plastic.
I've come to realize that a lot of brothers on here that show their food have the same granite lol.

Waiting for that bluetooth app to beep "165° temp reached!" lol.. I finally broke down and purchased a wireless grill thermometer yesterday, after I eff'd up and undercooked $20 worth of breasts last weekend. Was night time and I could see whatbthe hell I was doing. I was so mad I had to throw it all away.. bought a Weber iGrill now

I seen one of those, how much did it run you? Only problem is have with the wired one is I have to leave the window open to hear it beep, which is fine at night, but it's been so hot during the day I don't like leaving the window open
