What R U Eating ? ~OGH wants to know.....

When y'all say affordable what are we talking?I'm well traveled but never been on a cruise because I've heard stories that at the end of it that you owe a bunch of people tips and it will break you. Any truth to that? Like I heard that every time you leave your room a maid will come clean and at the end of the week you owe her.
Tipping for service on Royal and many others is actually optional. They are recomended tips which are something like 12$ a day per person or you have an option to prepay tips when you book. Not sure exactly but it's around 140 a person. If your not happy with service or for any reason it is not mandatory. i think where people go wrong and are shocked at final bill is its easy to lose track of what your spending on drinks and other paid items because you are given a cruise card linked to your credit card. That card is used for all purchases on ship which can add up . I love to drink on vacation so I purchase a drink package which includes all drinks and tips. It's around 400$ but well worth it if you drink. I use it for my wives drinks also. The initial cost of cruise may seem steep at first but when you factor in room and free food for 6-7 days it's not that bad.

Our first cruise we had an inside room and had a great time but after getting a balcony our second cruise it was an outside balcony from then on. It's great to sit out there with a drink while the wifey is getting ready and enjoy the views and it is especially nice for some late time fun ;). It's def a little pricier but well worth it. Norwegian actually has pretty inexpensive balconies and some nice ships. Did a few out of New York and had a great time. I'd recommend trying the allure or oasis at least once. You guys won't be let down.
Yeah. We love balconies. From what it looks like though, RC has balconies that over look "the inside of the ship" as well as "ocean views". Wonder what the inside balcony would be like.

My aunt and uncle who cruise a lot love the inside balcony but I just love looking out at the ocean. We love to leave the door open at night to sleep. its very relaxing.

All this cruise talk making me want to go book a cruise...a singles' cruise at that :)

Went on a singles cruise myself back in '02 and it was a blast (not to mention expensive...to the tune of over $4K)! Had gotten myself drunk on my b-day when I was aboard the ship...fun times!

I'm on a cruise right now, it's called: making kick ass meals.

Tonight's appetizer is fried green beans with a turmeric sweet chili aioli. And soon to be dinner is steamed turkey meatball subs with a rosemary marinara. [Pic coming in about 30min]:)

I was thinking the same thing. Asparagus and fish only take about 10 to 15 minutes In the oven. My potatoes take 30-45 depending on size. The bigger ones ( Spuds ) I bake for 1 hour at 400.

I think I saw this recipe somewhere. Don't you cook the potatoes half way, then throw in the asparagus and fish? Good idea.
You probably did, i know i saw this on face book just last night. First you cook the taters for i think 15-20 min pull em out add fish and asparagus a bake for another 10-15.
Perfect meal, quick, easy, healthy and delishes!!! N
