Country eatin jay!
Who murdered the apple pie?
I do the same thing with the apple pies my mom made...she's so aghast that I destroyed just about every pie that way as she considers apple pies to be works of art LOLLmao. Im not so good at getting it out of the pie dish. I tried at first, then just used my fork to scoop chunks out.
Did everyone forget Mrs.Ogh"s protein Cookies ?? Heres the recipe again , made some more tonight.....
OK - heres my wifes killer Peanut-butter/Oatmeal/Whey protein cookies recipe . Its really just a classic peanut butter/oatmeal cookie recipe with the addition of whey protein and flaxseed meal & wheat germ meal . The meal slows down the absorbtion of sugar and adds fiber . If the cookies are too dry cut back on the meal , not the whey protein . You can also substitute Stevia or other sugar substitutes for a lower glycemic diet. These are around 250 calories a piece and 15 grams of protein . 25 grams of carbs and 10 grams of fat. Enjoy !!
~Mrs.OGH"s Protein Cookies
1 stick real butter * 1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar * 1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup white sugar * 2-1/2 cups quick oats
2 egg * 2 scoops vanilla ON whey protein
1 tsp vanilla * 1 tbs flaxseed meal
1 cup all-purpose flour *
1 cup peanut butter * 1 tbs wheat germ meal
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl beat butter, sugars w/ electric mixer until creamy.
2. Add eggs and vanilla and peanut butter; beat well.
3. Add combined flour,baking soda,cinnamon,salt,whey protein & meals.Mix well.
4 . Add oatmeal and mix well . Cover bowl with towel and let sit for 15 mins.
5. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons unto ungreased cookie sheets .
6. Bake 8-10 min until light golden brown . Cool 1 min on cookie sheets ; remove to wire rack . Cool completely. Makes about 3-4 doz cookies depending on size . I like big ones ! [)]

Keeping it simple this morning... roast turkey breast and some fresh fruit.
