Last time I had an epic sushi experience like that, it was at Sushi Kashiba in Seattle. The bill was roughly 10x that. I lamented how shitty I felt afterward more than the expense (which I expensed).

And since we’re on about Japanese cuisine. More chicken and rice:

Oh yeah this place is certainly not top tier, but for the price, and how I eat (all you can eat) - hard to beat bang for buck especially just going to hang out with the boys. We usually do AYCE spots since we like to make ourselves sick lol.

Well imo you look good brother! The diet doesn't look bad either maybe just give it a lil more time for your expectations? You could up your cardio to three times a week and that might do the trick, nothing intense to discourage you just some more cardio, good job

Thank you man! Will keep it consistent and up my cardio as needed, maybe increasing walking time. Our soccer games are a little intense, so some times I go easy on previous cardio days not to get too tired on Friday. Once soccer season is over I'll get back to my 40mins stair master sessions!

In mirror looking than 2 months ago, but for instance I can't tell if my lower abdominal fat is decreasing or if it's coming off a different place. I had the idea of reducing even more the calories but I'm afraid of that being not too smart decision. Do you see anything off based on my calories/macros wise?

I would echo what @bjjgear said about modifying food intake.

Nothing looks off to me and I wouldn’t rush to make changes. However, if you stall out not losing BF or scale weight, you’ll have to increase expenditure or lower food intake.

I would hesitate to lower food intake too much since you can only pull that lever so much. I’d probably look to increase expenditure first, imo.

Brown rice cooked on stove top. Whole chicken breast cut to smaller pieces, then covered in sauce, before baking in toaster oven. With a bit of extra virgin olive oil on the baking surface to heat & prevent sticking.

I make the sauce with a mixture of gluten-free soy sauce (SAN-J low sodium Tamari), Melinda's Habanero Ketchup (amazing ingredient list & a little goes a long way), and gluten-free "100% Natural Hunts Tomato Ketchup".

He never looked at us, just stood there with folded arms and grimaced. He decided when we would have another. The sushi was amazing. At some point, he simply said, "you're done." The whole experience felt like it took about 20 bucks and cost several hundred dollars. We commented that it would feel like we had been robbed if we weren't so high on sushi.

Based on your description, I like the sound of the first place better.

Primarily because only I decide when I’m finished eating, or, because I can’t afford to eat more, lol.

Well, the one you can still try. Sushi Nozawa closed in 2012 and his son capitalized on his name and opened Sugarfish, a chain of takeout sushi establishments. Maybe it's good, maybe it isn't, but it sure as hell ain't Sushi Nozawa.

Chicken and rice again this evening:



Bun ga nuong, lemongrass chicken with vermicelli noodles. The kid prepared this one, thus the "rustic" chop on the veg. Basically a pile of vermicelli noodles with romaine, mint, cilantro, cucumber topped with lemongrass chicken, peanuts and nuoc cham.

When I first prepared lemongrass marinaded anything, I felt like a wizard, so here's a recipe

3 stalks of lemongrass, just the white bits
2 shallots
2 tablespoons of fish sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon lime juice
2 garlic cloves
1 tablespoon of vegetable oil

Peel the alliums, chop everything roughly and hit it in a blender. Make up the volume you need with some water. Use it to marinade chicken, pork, shrimp or maybe some short ribs.

Nuoc cham is lime juice, fish sauce, minced garlic, sugar, water, and sambal oelek.

Celiac here as well. The individual sauce ingredients were carefully introduced after avoiding anything extra or processed for a year.

The sauce mix for the chicken works to protect the moisture in each piece while baking. It makes every bite so nice.

Fasted until 1pm today. Then had the two egg ham cheese sourdough sandwiches pictured. Wife made some mini chicken quesadillas so I had a couple. Had a piece of chocolate I found left over from candy I got rid of. Oh and then picture of the Costco the trip today.

Today sucks compared to the last week of eating lol. Back to reality.
