What scale is everyone using?

I bought an Amazon special with thousands of positive reviews and I kind of hate it. It's not horrible, but it's all over the place sometimes and I can never tell how accurate it is.

Yes I have calibrated it and what not. What scale is everyone else here using?

I have a OHAUS SPX222. I feel like a good scale is worth the investment if you want to be precise. Cheaper scales I’ve bought in the past floated randomly, would never tare correctly, and I thought my calibration weights were off but it was the scale itself I realized when I bought a quality one.

I have a withings smart scale with body scan. Not sure of the actual model name as my wife purchased it for me for Xmas last year. It works reasonably well but the body scan accuracy is laughable, though I guess the same could be said for almost all home scales which have this functionality. It’s a hefty drive for me to get a DEXA however, so it does serve a purpose as a very rough guide

I have been using a MY WEIGH 440-Z scale for well over 10 years. I check it against calibrated weights i have and it is always right on. For a cheap scale i can't complain.

You have to use them on a rock hard surface. On top of a microwave or on the stove with any sort of give to the surface will cause a false reading sometimes. And always check the 4 contact points where the scale sits. If bread crumbs etc get stuck on it it’ll also cause a false reading.

Anything scale wise that tries to pretend to know your body fat % should be thrown In the trash immediately. It’s comical watching GoodLife employees getting their clients to take off their shoes to step on that fucking scam. It’s hilarious and sad at the same time watching these clowns thinking it’s actually reading something other than it being an already calculated percentage determined percentage wise as soon as it gets their body weight.
