What scale is everyone using?

I bought an Amazon special with thousands of positive reviews and I kind of hate it. It's not horrible, but it's all over the place sometimes and I can never tell how accurate it is.

Yes I have calibrated it and what not. What scale is everyone else here using?

I have a OHAUS SPX222. I feel like a good scale is worth the investment if you want to be precise. Cheaper scales I’ve bought in the past floated randomly, would never tare correctly, and I thought my calibration weights were off but it was the scale itself I realized when I bought a quality one.

I have a withings smart scale with body scan. Not sure of the actual model name as my wife purchased it for me for Xmas last year. It works reasonably well but the body scan accuracy is laughable, though I guess the same could be said for almost all home scales which have this functionality. It’s a hefty drive for me to get a DEXA however, so it does serve a purpose as a very rough guide

I have been using a MY WEIGH 440-Z scale for well over 10 years. I check it against calibrated weights i have and it is always right on. For a cheap scale i can't complain.

You have to use them on a rock hard surface. On top of a microwave or on the stove with any sort of give to the surface will cause a false reading sometimes. And always check the 4 contact points where the scale sits. If bread crumbs etc get stuck on it it’ll also cause a false reading.

reading the thread I assume you’re not talking food scale … lol

Anything scale wise that tries to pretend to know your body fat % should be thrown In the trash immediately. It’s comical watching GoodLife employees getting their clients to take off their shoes to step on that fucking scam. It’s hilarious and sad at the same time watching these clowns thinking it’s actually reading something other than it being an already calculated percentage determined percentage wise as soon as it gets their body weight.

Correct, I am making lab chemicals.

this is the "home brew" section, I figured it was a good place to ask
LMFAO... yes bro, you're in the right section. But, a "scale," I guess is a very broad word: food scale; body-weight scale, and; the kind of scale you're looking for. Oh, and the gangsta scale... the "triple- beam..." that's what I was coming in with.

Bro he is talking a scale to weight raws etc..not your fucking body ahahah

This thread is a great example of how Meso members sometimes just "miss" the point.
But, let's not change anything. Please!

I invested into a scale because a different hobby. I have a digital Hornady m2. It might sound fasicous but if I trust it enough to weigh things that will blow next to my face, I trust it enough to make some test c and aromasin suspension.

Any thoughts? Seems like a good price
I can’t say for sure on this exact model, but I’ve compared two different Bonvoisin scales, a Four E’s scale, a US Solid and another similar inexpensive scale with a high end calibrated Mettler Toledo Analytical Balance Scale that was in use and I was very impressed with their accuracy except for one scale that I can’t remember the name of. All these scales were accurate to within about one percent up to 200g for the quick down and dirty testing I did.

Please note that I did not check for drift over time or at varying temperatures and I only checked them at 50g, 100g and 200g using known calibrated weights (not the cheap weights on Amazon or AliExpress). I did make sure to use the scales in a good working environment temperature wise, and let them warm up for about 20 minutes before calibrating and comparing them.

I believe that many of the scales that look alike are likely made by the same company and OEM’d under different brands. I use an inexpensive scale for the quick down and dirty stuff of certain raws or supplement powders because it’s much easier and quicker to use and it’s accurate enough for my needs. I only use my expensive Mettler Toledo when I truly need the extra precision.

For supplements or weighing raws like cyp, nandrolone, methenelone, etc, these 0.001mg scales should be plenty good as long as you get a good scale. If you’re weighing something more critical like T3, or Finasteride, etc, then you’d better make sure you’re using a 0.0001mg scale that’s dead on.
