Who is our biggest, most shredded member at Meso?

Me no! I’m no dick lol. How things been going?
Better now that I've gotten over the black plague. That shit cost me a week of training but I was able to maintain the diet so prep progress was made. Sometimes it really is just about diet and drugs. LOL.

How's the prep going? You on track to crush dreams and send grown men home crying that they'll never compete again because the embarrassment they just received was too much for their little egos?

Yea it’s going good. Keep worrying I’m losing too fast hope it slows down. I’m at about 3500 calories clean so I upped it a little. I want to keep some weight on until I start the tren and stuff. I have my bad days where I think damn I’m too small or will I be good enough but it’s going good.
Glad to hear you are feeling better I was sick like 3 weeks in January missed the gym and diet suffered.

Thanks bro. Being sick isn’t a regular thing for me so it was not a welcomed event for sure.

Don’t let the process drive you too far into insanity. Lol.

Just keep in mind that with the menu you’re running, actually burning muscle would be difficult. Being super flat and looking like you lost muscle, check. We’re all in that boat at some point during prep.

I know you’re trying to time the transition to magnify the “good stuff” when it hits so keep in mind that you’re probably not going to totally like what you see until you’re into that phase.

Your pics look good and you appear to be right on track with holding the newly added size while leaning out.

You got this man and you’ve got at least 3-4 other experienced eyes in this thread to help if needed. Even if it’s just to talk you down off the roof on a crazy low carb Tren induced mental break. :)

Thank you that means a lot. There are a lot of good people on here on here for sure. I appreciate the advice. Trust me there is so much I could ask you since you’ve been doing this so long. I’d be great to pick your brain but that I think I’d have too many questions to ask lol.

Meh, I just make it up as I go so you'll get a different answer daily for the same question. :D

Thanks @fodsod & @Thenewera , yeah I feel like im on pace to get into good condition , I just mind fuck myself more than anything.. its kinda of double edge sword because it drives me to push hard as mf'r but then I also make compulsive decisions lol ...

Ive got a well thought out plan though , I just gotta force myself to stick to it and try not to get in my own way !

Try not to do that.. honestly you’re fine right now. Let’s see how it looks around week 6. Who’s coaching you through this?

I didnt end up hiring a coach this year . My goal this year is just to top 2 a national qualifier . I have three of them right in driving distance of where im from . So between one of them ill get that done this year . Then next year Im spending then money to hire a coach that I actually trust , hes just expensive as fuck for his yearly fee. So Im just not spending the cash until im in a position to realistically be competitive at some much bigger shows..

Ive kinda learned my lesson from my last prep though , because once I hit like 5 wk out I just started going batty with my cardio and diet. And ended putting myself in the hospital like an idiot . So as long as I can hold my shit together ill be good . But im always looking for outside perspective , its helps me keep myself in check .

This is smart for several reasons. First and foremost is you really need to have a good feel for getting yourself into contest shape so when you do work with a coach (or you're trying to pick one) you're not just pushing forward with blinders on.

In the end, there is no cookie cutter approach that works for everyone especially when one is trying to get down into the low single digit BF%'s and some coaches will do just that. Knowing your body is important to being sure your not wasting time and money.

There is a huge difference in working WITH a great coach to get you where you want to be and just doing what he says and crossing your fingers that it'll work for you.

Thats the same exact way I feel about it , and I can definitely see the advantage to working with a coach once you reach a certain level . But , that coach is still going to have to take time to learn how your body reacts and what works with you and what doesnt. So if you have no clue how to get your body to the that ridiculous lean condition yourself , you're gonna spend a ton of time and money letting a coach figure it out for you . And thats even if they end up being a fit for you .

Plus I just think if you cant even get nationally qualified without a coach you probably arent going to be that great . The competition isnt exactly top notch at that level minus once in a blue moon when a freak will show up needing a quick qualifier . It might take you a few shows to put it together , but if you have potential your gonna separate from the pack at that level at some point .

Welll truth be told I’ve had a coach but not necessarily one that is mandatory to have. I would call it more a mentor. I made my food, adjusted things, he just kept me on a certain macro track and I filled it. To be completely honest I came into my last show far less conditioned than I should have been.. still more conditioned than the rest, but I could have done much better. I think I came in like that strictly because I had the same approach.. “it’s a local show.. just a national qualifier.. I will win” it was cocky and i slippednsome meals here and there (and didn’t do shit of cardio consistently.. and ate ice cream.. a lot...) but- that just lets me know now that I’m national qualified when it comes to that show I will be fucking stupid diced when I take it 110%

TLDR; a mentor or someone giving you guidelines and just holding you accountable it can go a long way.
