I think anybody who posts regularly has pretty good idea of who's credible and who's not. That being said I do like being able to identify new members without having to click on their profile. I didn't post a ton initially so it took me about a year to get to wkm status. I keep the advice to a minimum unless it's something I have personal experience with. I figured out early on there are plenty of guys on this board far more knowledgeable than myself.

That's what makes us who we are. I realize there are members who are more knowledgeable and they should be recognized. At the same time guys who have been here and invested time should have more stutus than an asshole that joined yesterday.

I agree with a ranking system but only the few awesome members picking it I'm against . my opinion is it should be chosen by all the members who wish to contribute to coming up with something . that way everyone has a say if they chose to do so.

My suggestion was because their are WAY more people with less than 1,000 likes than there are people with 5,000+.
I see a situation where if we put it to a vote that includes everyone, the WKM status will be set much lower than where it should be.

I used to install high end cabinets in million dollar homes then went into other carpentry

They always will be recognized regardless of titles.
I mean shit there isn't a member on this board that doesn't know who the top dogs are.

My concern is the new members and the added confusion.
Shit when I was new it was hard enough to learn who was the smart guys and that was WITH the titles to help guide me.

No one is controlling anything
Its gonna stay this way because just like anywhere else you explore you have to do your own due diligence

Its only common sense to look at a join date then post count to make sure they didnt just join and disappear and
Go from there ...

If any of the old members were scammers they would have been banned by previous moderators
And had to come back under another handle ...
If a guy has been here since 06 he probably has a good idea what's going on with the board and its members

Essentially, thats one of the problems at hand with the WKM status.

@Millard Baker it seems the consensus is to increase the # of likes or posts to achieve WKM. Currently, its 250 i believe. How about 2500 more or less? Additionally, how about disabling the like feature from subforums such as the UG and keeping it only to specific ones such as the steroid forum, training, nutrition. This way, posts that have relevance will be rewarded opposed to simply telling a new source to show wifes titties or fuck off. Just an idea to consider...

1 I propose that all Underground posts don't count at all toward WKM. Easily done.

2 And somehow prevent shills with 2 handles from 'liking' each other nonstop to get WKM status. Not as easy to prevent.

I definitely think the standard needs to be raised, but the difference between good informational posts and worthless posts are hard to separate, posts with good humor are important other wise it will get so boring no one will be here.

If I get something for free it want be because I am scamming a source for it. I understand when someone is dropping a grand here and there and the source throws in a little extra.
But trying to strong arm them or blackmail them for a free cycle is B.S. Get a job.
